Great location and beautiful looking hotel and spa, two night stay, bed size real issue, very small double, well used bed, dated hotel. Pool and sauna and steam room was ok, pool cold. Food great on valentine's night, waited very long time after asking multiple staff for a drink. Second night restaurant food, not good cold food, kitchen staff argument and lots of ppl getting the wrong food. Staff look like they have been working 16 hour shifts. Newby Bridge is a very old and characterful area. There aren't any pubs other than the Swan Hotel and Lakeside Hotel , which are great. The walks are wonderful around the lake . Will return when the steam train is running.Guest review byNickUnited Kingdom - 8.0
We had a great stay.
We had a great stay. We travelled around the lakes taking in places of interest. We felt 5 days would have done instead of 7 days. The site needed some maintenance around the grounds, trees could have been better maintained and ground cover cut back. Beautiful location with plenty of places to visit nearby. We take the steam railway a short walk away to lake Windermere and then a boat trip. Suits us. The hotel also has a gym and swimming pool facility which is a nice bonus.Guest review byValerieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Car park was too far from the hotel but everything else were amazing. Breakfast and dinner were lovely in the restaurant. Location was great and easy to get to. We enjoyed the Lake District, the boat and steam train ride. The room was lovely and clean and well laid out. We didn't have to go to far to get to our room. The bed and pillows were rather comfy. The hotel staff were really lovely, friendly, polite and helpful. Overall hospitality was excellent.Guest review byAnonymous

The pool for our children was great (and the main reason we booked the hotel). The restaurant in the evening was very good. Cocktails were great, lovely wine by the glass menu and the food was delicious. Service great. We had a lovely meal. Bath towels were lovely and fluffy and bedsheets were crisp and clean. The room we had was lovely and big for our family of 4 (209). The swimming pool facility was great. The guy on the desk even offered us some swim toys and goggles to borrow which was a really lovely extra touch.
