An amazing facility set in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside: this is a former public house converted to the most modern standard. The guest accommodation is secure and private, is fully equipped, and even has its own gym & sauna. Had a great stay at the Bear Hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was cosy. The breakfast was generous and delicious and the location is excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Delicious cooked breakfast with varied choices. So nice to have air conditioning and a little mini fridge. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was excellent.

Lovely little property in a peaceful village. Anna,Jonathan and their son Jeremy were warm and welcoming and the homemade bred and jams along with other breakfast provisions were delicious and a lovely thought. The bed was king-size and super comfortable, and very clean.

I liked the warm welcome and lovely cabin that had everything I needed at a very good price. I liked being by the canal. There was a pub and a very nice cafe nearby.

    Well, actually, the Old Pub address is in Chirton, not Patney (which is the next village) and on the Wiltshire Connect Bus route (Pre book able) Monday to Friday if using Public Transport. The nearest Restaurant is The Mill at Marden or back in Devizes, 5 miles away.
