I lived in Petersfield for most of my life and come back...
I lived in Petersfield for most of my life and come back fairly regularly to visit family and friends. It’s a lovely market town and there is the Heath Lake which is very scenic. The shops have improved since I last visited and there are now some very good bars/restaurants. We ate mostly at Wetherspoon because we had to eat out a few times. I actually came to meet up with family. I fou nd the area well located for visits to other towns and villages. A charming village near the glorious South Downs. We had difficulty finding somewhere to eat on the Sunday night but Ruby and Monty was a little gem of a restaurant (Italian - pizza/pasta) that accommodated us at short notice - they served the best salads and bruschetta I have ever eaten!Guest review byHannahUnited Kingdom

Very comfy bed and good sized room and bathroom. Good quality coffee machine in the room with a range of coffee pods. Simple check-in and check-out. Biker friendly. I was able to park behind the hotel on hard-standing which was safer for my bike. The property has a real oldy worldy feel, with beams and large fire place. The food was amazing and had a great selection of drinks! There is a large play area at the back of the hotel, so no worries about bringing children.
