the location, it was next to a river which was beautiful. The staff were extremely friendly, the rooms were warm and very clean and comfortable with a nice hot shower The restaurant menu had a a lot of choice and the food was excellent.

Sheila is a wonderful host and keeps the accommodation as clean as a whistle. The view from the room was of a beautiful verdant farm setting. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had the best sleep! The cooked breakfast was a wonderful start to the day. I can highly recommend a stay at this working farm.

We had a lovely time at Fernside and can not recommend it enough. Linda and Ian were so welcoming and always on hand if we needed anything. The breakfast was delicious, Ian is an amazing cook! The views are beautiful and the room was so comfortable and spacious and had everything we needed inside. We are already talking about returning there one day :)

Location was lovely, great views. Lovely hot tub! Very clean and all little things had been though of, didn't need to pack anything other than food and drink. Some great local ish pubs for food too!
