Absolutely 10/10 on everything! Everything you could want from a getaway. Full of nature, no noise of traffic or other people or anything like that. Get to sit out in the comfy rocking chair in a blankie and feel so serene. The host Jane is absolutely lovely and I felt like a cherished visitor rather than simply a customer. Perfect for my mates dog as well who also got a great holiday as he could wander in and out without being at risk and without any of that nature being at risk too with a super secure fence. Outdoor shower was the best (there is an indoor one too!) And now I want one in my garden! I'm already planning to see when I can come back and for longer, loveliest place I've ever stayed. 💖

We have known Steve and Kerry for many years. This latest stay and visit was for the wake for my wonderful mum. As always everyone and everything was catered for and looked after with the utmost csre and dignity. I had a really lovely stay at Magpies. Everyone was so kind and welcoming - I felt really at home. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautiful - with a great bath, much needed after a day’s cycling! I ate in the restaurant - and the food was excellent, really excellent. What a great place, and what lovely people!

    Beautiful, relaxing and quirky place to stay.

    Beautiful, relaxing and quirky place to stay. The accommodation is amazing with use of recycled wood and beautiful hand made furniture. The bed was super comfy and the shower inside and out amazing. Secluded location with woodlands and large field to walk your dogs. Jane was a fantastic host. I would highly recommend if you are looking for some time away from noise and work - enjoy the wildlife and take in the beautiful countryside.
