This place is the best value accommodation in Shetland. I have no idea why the previous reviews are so poor. We are locals who had to have a stay over for a medical appointment, and the cabin is exactly what it looks like in the photos. There is no bedding- a fact that is made clear on the booking.com website and in the email we received from the park directly. A previous poster criticised there being no kettle. There is a kettle, located in the kitchenette area. There is no accommodation for 5 people available on Shetland at this price, so what you see is what you get. If you are after something 4 *, go and stay in the Lerwick Hotel for £300+ a night.

I loved my stay here. My room (324) was just the right size, en suite and located in a quiet wing. The furnishings and whole vibe of the place is Boho/shabby chic. I mean this in a good way. The ambience is laidback, friendly, uncomplicated. One could be extremely picky about some flaws and details in the decor or upkeep of the place, but it was clean, comfortable and not only nice staff but nice clientele as well. I would have stayed there on my return trip, but had private arrangements instead. However, I would definitely go back. The girls serving in the bar, the kind man who made generous breakfasts, and particularly Harvey the owner, were all lovely people. The hotel‘s in a great central location, there are cheaper places to stay, but none with the same vibes or funkiness.

Spotlessly clean, well-appointed apartment in a great location. We appreciated the welcome pack of bread, butters, eggs, milk, and tea cakes. How lovely to arrive to that. Fresh flowers on the table too. Washing machine was very handy. We walked into town several times. A nice quiet neighbourhood and the apartment overlooks a green space sporting field. Best apartment we stayed in during our 4 week trip through Scotland. Highly recommended!

    Shetland Islands in four days was not enough (especially as one day was very wet and we couldn't do much). Scalloway is a great base: easy to travel into Lerwick and to all parts of Mainland Shetland.

    Lovely little town with an interesting museum and several historic locations and information around the town. Easy to park, The Cornerstone Cafe and Scalloway hotel and super places to eat. Very easy to explore.

    I really liked the accomodation in Scalloway.

    I really liked the accomodation in Scalloway. Scalloway itself is small but it is ideally placed to take trips to the Burras, south and north of Shetland. For restaurants and shops, Scalloway relies on Lerwick, less than 10min away

    We were in Shetland for a car / bike show and therefore were mostly travelling over the island and in Lerwick We were in Scalloway for dinner on one evening in a very nice pub/restaurant. The facilities in Scalloway were fairly good with a shop, a chippy, the pub and some shoreside parking with views I believe it has an old castle but we didn't go there Very friendly people

    A beautiful location, quiet and relaxing. It provided everything I needed for a comfortable work related visit to Shetland. A short car journey to Lerwick, with fantastic views that blow your mind.

    We love Shetland and have visited numerous times Scalloway...

    We love Shetland and have visited numerous times Scalloway sits in a beautiful location so much to see .Easy to find your way around locals warm and friendly.Great Chinese take away near castle but take cash as cards not accepted. Would also make sure you have some cash on you when visiting as we only found one cash machine unfortunately it was out of order at the time.
