    Absolutely lovely. Kind of untouched.

Absolutely lovely. Kind of untouched. The locals I spoke to were really warm and friendly. The Quay Cafe is a place that I frequented a few times, given I was only in Solva for a few days. I really liked it!

Solva is a very interesting place, with lots of history and lovely walks. Would definitely recommend it to others as a place to visit or stay. Close to St David's and Portgain, both worth a visit.

Solva is an idyllic ria, historically interesting and a very beautiful place to stay in. Our family have been coming here all our lives, our father grew up in Solva, it is a gem. Beautiful beaches , walk the Gribin and the coast path. Visit Middle Mill and see the weaving of rugs and blankets.

Solva and surrounding areas are beautiful.

Solva and surrounding areas are beautiful. Solva is VERY dog friendly. Had a lovely lunch at No 35 Main Street on the quay, delicious! A walk along Newgale beach in the morning was absolutely fabulous, an absolute treat. St Davids is picturesque and full of history, wonderful to sit on a bench overlooking the Cathedral. Plenty of places to eat all charging £8 for a sandwich! Avoid Pebbles Cafe, absolutely dreadful service, steep stairs to counter to order, our cake was dry and stale and the coffees were small served in paper cups on a dirty tray!

A most beautiful part of Pembrokeshire and so handy for all that the region has to offer. The is something for everyone. Stunning coastal walks; beautiful beaches; a lovely sheltered harbour; plenty of eating-houses; and a couple of good taverns in the village. For those wanting to get away from it all, there can be no better place. I just love it !

We stopped here on our way back from St David's for a couple of hours. We walked along the coastal path and up the hill to see the view. We had lunch at Mamgu Welshcakes which offered some unique dishes but it was delicious and great value (and dog friendly). Then we had a look around Window on Wales at the clothes and gifts. Unless you're booking an activity in the summer, I don't think there's enough in Solva to spend a whole day but it is definitely worth a stop if you are in the area.
