The staff were brilliant, friendly and professional. The room was clean and comfortable. The complimentary biscuits were amazing. I wish they’d had bags of them for sale! The breakfast was also amazing, the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever tasted. The hotel was in an excellent location. A short walk into beautiful Southwold. We would definitely love to stay again.

Surprisingly a lot to offer from a small town.

Surprisingly a lot to offer from a small town. A good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. Art and history. The beaches there are gorgeous. A good mix of traditional uk beaches (pier etc) and market town feel. Seems like miles of countryside and places surrounding to explore. Will definitely be returning

Love Southwold, been coming for 30+ years, first as a couple , then a family , now just 2 or us and the dogs. Very busy in peak season, struggle to get table at pubs etc ..but out of season is perfect. Dogs allowed on the beach October-March only

We came back as we loved it.

We came back as we loved it. We brought our little dog and I knew I would be happy walking early. Loved seeing the mad swimmers, me huddled in a winter coat and them in costumes. We love the town, shops open and welcoming dogs too,

Southwold is a lovely seaside town with individual shops, pubs and restaurants. Lovely walks along the beach to the pier and also to the Harbour where you can get the little ferry over to Walberswick. We ate at the Red Lion pub, excellent menu and specials board. Lots of Adnams beers on sale in all the pubs and the brewery itself.

Hotel situated in the town, which is always busy, no matter what day. A good mix of cafes, shops and hotels. It's a 2mins walk to the beach with many pubs around. Would highly recommend the Adnams Lighthouse tour.. was about 1hr long with a very knowledgeable and amusing guide. Been back here a few times and never disappointed.

Very nice hotel in a prime high street location in Southwold. A little pricey but overall we were happy with our stay. Staff were very friendly/helpful and the onsite parking was a real boost. Our room was a little quirky but its an old building with beams, low ceilings, etc. Very clean and the 'no dogs' policy is particularly refreshing these days. Excellent breakfast served by friendly and enthusiastic staff. I would stay here again if visiting Southwold in the future.

The staff were exceptional, special thanks to the blonde lady on reception (sorry didn't get her name) and Zoe & Wayne. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The position of the hotel to Southwold was perfect and in a lovely quiet area. We were celebrating my husbands birthday, the whole experience was very special and we would definitely stay again.
