Lovely places to eat - lovely country views - travelled by...
Lovely places to eat - lovely country views - travelled by bicycle. Lots of hills so at times you have to walk it but we enjoyed ourselves. Travelled by train would recommend making reservations for your bicycles. Ate at Egypt Mill, Casa Sabor and The Bear at Rodborough and loved the food at the Five Valleys. We planned our trip to coincide with weekly Farmer's market - this was really bustling and vibrant, as was town centre in general. Everything that is promised is there, and always a bit more. It is a model of how a self-catering property should be managed, particularly the friendly contact with guests before and during the stay. The location, just above a full Waitrose store open till 2100 Mo-Sa, and a quite short walk from the town centre and rail station, is ideal.
