The bedroom facilities and condition are of very good quality and extremely value for money. Breakfast service was great and friendly just like being at home. Parking is easy too. The evening menu looked great with classic authentic home cooked pub grub.

Comfortable, clean and quiet room. Very good breakfast choice. Friendly and professional service. Wide choice of menu for lunch and dinner. Good, tasty home cooking. On-site parking. The owners went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay and we would definitely stay here again.

It was unique and fab to see an older house being shared so all can see the charm .. did you go for one of the larger rooms when you compare the price to other hotels it was well worth it. Room service was great and breakfast was lovely. I don’t think there was one thing I asked for stuff that was an issue.

    The property is in Moira not in Swadlincote which is three miles away. Moira is and old mining village on the edge of the Ashby Canal. You can walk along the canal for ten minutes to Conkers, a free park and the entrance to Conkers Water Park ( entrance fee.) Conkers Adventure park is accessed from the village the other side of the canal. The canal in the other direction takes you to Moira Furnace Museum (small fee) and Donisthorpe Country Park. Visit NT Calke Abbey. Abbey de la Zouche Castle and market town and Lichfield Cathdral.
