The service offered by the owner and family impeccable. We arrived late due to flight issues and they couldn't have been more accommodating with our late check in... due to various reasons they also helped us with transport issues whilst we were in town and they made me the best breakfast I had in a very long time.

Friendly and very helpful staff. Quick check in and out process, good size room and excellent breakfast. We were also able to check in early meaning we could get organised before going to a nearby wedding.

This bed and breakfast is amazing. The location was so quiet which suited us perfectly. Close walk to restaraunts which was an added bonus. Gillian and Lee the owners could not do enough to make our stay more wonderful than it was. Truly lovely people and so generous of their time and compassion. I mentioned to Gillian about me having a cihildhood treat when I lived in Scotland and she went out and tried to buy me the same treat. So heartwarming and thoughtful. I would highly recommend this place to stay.

    We were there to meet up with friends was ideal for a short visit and the area was handy for Biggar a couple of miles up the road which is very interesting Symington it’s self does not have much and the hotel is on a hill just off the main road

    Symington is not somewhere you would rate.

    Symington is not somewhere you would rate. Staying in the hotel and visiting Symington would not normally occur in the same sentence i.e. while you might want to stay in the hotel you would never think of visiting Symington - there is nothing to see.

    My stay at Tinto hotel was an absolute delight. All the stuff are very friendly and helpful. The room are very clean and comfortable. While I enjoyed their serene afternoon tea and the breathtaking views from their backyard, it was the dinner that stood out. Their unique dish, fish and the unexpected delight of mango rice, was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. It alone warrants a 5-star rating. If you're in Edinburg , this hotel is a must-visit!

    Arrived and had an evening meal each, excellent food, thank you Chef and great service from the friendly helpful waiter. Had breakfast before we left, again excellent food, thank you Chef and great service from the friendly helpful waitress. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and well presented. It was our second stay for work and love this hotel.

    We stayed at the Tinto Hotel on our way north for a road trip and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. What a great location, so handy for the likes of Peebles and New Lanark, very peaceful. The staff are so friendly and made sure we were well looked after. Oh, and the breakfast was fantastic, very satisfied!

    Nice hotel in large grounds set back from road. Staff were very attentive and went out of their way to help. They allowed us to eat of the a le carte menu , the food was hot and well presented. Breakfast was also good A great place for an overnight stopover
