Very rarely do you find such a property 2 living room with everything you need, very clean with everything set up from every point of view... with a feeling that you live in your own house ...( with all the facilities wahing mashine , detergent etc) I had all the information I needed... I was able to contact Paul very late in the evening and he answered me in 2 seconds .. a small house with a big heart ... if I have the chance to stay in Tutbury again I will definitely stay at Paul's house 14 Castlegate ... a small detail: you will have Milk, bread, honey, apples arranged in the kitchen!

Cosy and welcoming lovely bar and restaurant. Rooms great especially the Premium room that has old oak beams and four poster bed. Bed was absolute delight to sleep in with lovely bedding and natural pillows. The staff were amazing especially Sophie who checked us in with a warm welcome. Resteraunt in cosy and comfortable the food is good with a nice sized menu and prices very, very reasonable value for money. Breakfast was really nice and Sophie and staff were really attentive. Whole experience a delight.

Beautiful place to visit, a well kept village,plenty to visit, a little museum, Tutbury castle is worth a visit, has links to Mary Queen Of Scott's. Nice cafés and a fair few public houses for a little area. We needed more time, definitely visit again.

Tutbury is a really lovely place in very nice countryside.

Tutbury is a really lovely place in very nice countryside. The high street has retained its quite select features, is clean and well cared for. The hotel is central to the street. Not a place for retail therapy but one excellent antique centre in the old Chapel plus a few eateries and take-seats. Overall it is a lovely central place to stay.

Lovely little village, quiet but went in March. Castle not open but we had a pleasant walk around the village. There are a few shops for browsing. The Courtyard cafe is worth a visit - had a lovely brunch there and the coffee was great! the Hourglass is also recommended - light evening meals - had the veggie platter; very nice

Nice quaint village with plenty of character and history.

Nice quaint village with plenty of character and history. Nice food at the Dog and Partridge, bit tricky to get to using the Satnav from Alton Towers but might have been my navigation! Will be visiting again soon.

Very clean, delightful high street with shops that welcomed you browsing. The castle was very interesting and worth a visit. The hotel (The Dog & Partridge) ideally situated and very friendly and accomodating. Some great walks in the immediate area.

A wonderful old historic building in the lovely small town of Tutbury, but also a smart, modern and well run pub / restaurant. Comfortable and lovely old oak beamed room overlooking the high street - the decor is a little run down and in need of refreshment but everything functioned and the feel of the place outweighs any minor shortcomings . Very nice dinner in the evening with efficient and friendly service. Breakfast was superb. Really can’t find fault and good value overall.

Great location, just a 6 minute walk into Tutbury. The Cottage was really cosy with everything that you need for self-catering. The bed was very comfortable. Jane was really welcoming and helpful. I would also really recommend the Courtyard No12 for breakfast.

Very well decorated and very comfy bed. Fantastic view of Tutbury castle from the decking area. Lots of nice shops and cafe’s and pubs Parked right in front of house, free car park 1 minute away as well.
