The location was perfect for our needs to stop off to Glasgow. The welcome we received and the attention from all the staff. The dinner menu had a lovely choice of starters and main courses. Garlic bread wasn't on the menu but the staff happily prepared us some with fresh garlic not the bottle variety. Our visit from start to departing was totally warm, welcoming and a relaxing vibe. The room was cosy and warm. We enjoyed an excellent night's sleep.

they kept my luggage until it was time to check in, offered cup of coffee in their restaurant until such time, restaurant at the hotel is public to the community, popular, food was good, there are only 6 rooms, quaint, plaid carpets, there is a public room for rent; there was a memorial the day I was there, (there COULD be parties so double check before booking) arranged for a taxi pick up to the airport, very helpful staff

The hosts, Marjorie and Tom, were delightful. They took extra care to make sure we had everything we needed including the best whisky choice and setting up our early a.m. cab ride to the airport. We weren't sure that the hotel was in the best location (safety-wise) on our drive in, but it turned out to be a convenient and safe location. Marjorie was exceptionally attentive and made sure we were comfortable and happy during our stay. She had great suggestions for a place to pick up lunch and to visit the local abbey.

Fox House is a beautiful old Scottish farmhouse. Our room was really spacious and beautifully furnished. There is a very good heater to keep the room cosy. The bathroom is also large and very nicely presented. Our breakfasts were exceptional and served with a friendly chat.

Uplawmoor is situated in a convenient rural location yet close to the busy city of Glasgow and its surrounding towns. Perfect location for coastal journey along the Ayrshire coast and its adjoining islands (Arran/Bute). Easy access to Wemyss Bay, Ardrossan, Largs, Gourock and Ayr. Good choice of eateries within 15 mins drive of property. Nearest cinema is in Paisley.

Uplawmoor is a lovely, very small village.

Uplawmoor is a lovely, very small village. We were there to visit family. It would be a lovely place to visit, have a country walk and enjoy the location but the village itself has limited amenities.

I had such a warm welcome and Uplawmoor Hotel had a really good feel to it. The room was very clean and nicely decorated and the bed was really comfortable. I would love to go back and explore the area but sadly I was only passing through on this occasion. I wasn't able to stay for breakfast but I was given a goodie bag in its place which was delicious. Parking was ample. All round a good experience.

It was convenient for our route from Scotland to Northumbria. It had better ratings than some other hotels in the area and was in a reasonable location and had off road parking. The hotel manager and staff were very friendly and helpful.
