This is a stunning hotel in a very charming location. Hertingfordbury is a very pretty, mostly quiet little village. The hotel is tastefully and classily decorated with generous bedrooms, comfortable beds and a chic en suite. The staff are extremely pleasant, the housekeeper (sorry, no name), particularly should be treasured. There was some noise in the morning from the road outside due to a school run and people using the road as a rat run to work but, it didn't mar our stay. Would certainly go there again and were sorry to leave its comforts this time. Highly recommended!

We only stayed overnight prior to a wedding so we didn't sightsee or travel anywhere except to the wedding venue. However, we booked seven rooms so it was nice for lots of the family to be together. All the rest of the family stayed two nights. Very close to Milling Barn Wedding venue at Buntingford so spot-on.

The staff were excellent, especially at Breakfast. The menu for lunch and evening meal had very good choices. The position of the hotel and parking was good. The room was a disappointment. It had very little natural light, due to a small window. There was no full length mirror. After dropping something on the floor and retrieving it we realised how dirty the carpet was. The room had not been cleaned properly. There wasn't enough ventilation to the room. Air conditioning would help to address this as the window is too small to allow air flow.

The hotel is fine the staff were helpful - the room was clean - The pillows were a little soft for my liking but that's just personal preference Unfortunately there were problems with the WIFI which can happen and was not a huge issue, The real disappointment was the breakfast it was frankly awful the full English did not include bacon which wasn't on the menu strangely so perhaps a little unfair to complain about that - the remainder though was so low on quality, The lone sausage tasted and looked cheap , the scrambled eggs were dry and felt like that they had been cooked some time earlier and finally the fried tomato had only had a passing introduction to frying. Just a very poor breakfast indeed

A small village a few miles to the north of Hertford and...

A small village a few miles to the north of Hertford and Ware and close to the A10 but a definite rural feel. No public transport in the evenings but a taxi to / from Ware with plenty of pubs and restaurants costs £12/13 one way and there are plenty. The Feathers is a long established pub / restaurant / hotel popular with locals and visitors alike.

Stayed on NYE and as always great service by all the staff. The room was spotless and all the usual amenities. A great nights sleep after a few drinks at the bar and a hearty breakfast the following morning. The bar staff and team were all very helpful and overall a great experience. This was our second stay at this hotel and in all honesty we thought it was amazing value for money and couldn't rate the place highly enough.

Hotel room was nice, just very low ceilings. The family room bed was not so good. Very uncomfortable for an adult to sleep in. I slept in the main bed with my son and the other adult slept in the sofa bed. Not the best night sleep as the sofa bed was very thin.

staff pleasant willing to chat . breakfast was off the best quality i think i have ever had at a hotel very good value for money . one off my childhood haunts from the outside very much the same but the work done inside is great !!

The hotel was perfectly located for the purposes of my trip. It offers a very comfortable clean, well appointed double room to the rear of the pub where a good breakfast offering plenty of choice is served daily.
