the most beautiful and idylic place and the room was fantastic. The hosts was so welcoming, warm and everything to meet our needs. right from the fantastic view over the Lake, the horses in the backyard, the footed bathtub in thebathroon, Linda an Ian’s fantastic breakfast to the cows crossing the Road in the morning - we loved it all!

Excellent kitchen facilities. We were able to very comfortably cook a dinner party. More than adequate appliances. Lovely rural location it still easy to find and park. Beautiful fixtures and furniture

Washfield is a parish a few miles from Tiverton, it is quite...

Washfield is a parish a few miles from Tiverton, it is quite secluded and ideal if you want to rest and recharge. We visited in November for a short break and did not have time to really explore the area due to the short days. We stayed at The Annexe at Lurley Manor which is in its own grounds and we had a lovely time walking around with our little dog, including a night time walk with our head torches. There is a pub close by (the Rose & Crown) at Calversleigh although we did not visit, it was closed one of the nights we were there. We purchased our own food from the nearby Morrisons in Tiverton. There are also takeaway menus in The Annexe if you want to order in. We plan to return in the summer months when the days are longer and would probably walk to the pub which is about 20 mins walk away.

A little gem with a garden for the dogs, it was a magical...

A little gem with a garden for the dogs, it was a magical little cottage, I could have stayed longer it has everything you need and the bed was so comfortable, excellent shower, what more could you want, they also left a welcome gift pack and milk in the fridge, lovely people, would definitely return.

A wonderful stay in this cottage.

A wonderful stay in this cottage. We were attending a wedding locally and initially booked a a premier inn. So pleased we found The Annex and changed our plans - to be cottage had its quirks but it was a lovely relaxed place to stay, in glorious surroundings. Thoroughly recommend!

There's nothing in the hamlet for visitors, but Tiverton is...

There's nothing in the hamlet for visitors, but Tiverton is only 10 minutes away, where all the basics can be found - including Tesco, Morrisons and Lidl. This provides easy access to the motorway network and other key routes to beautiful and interesting locations. The accommodation had everything reasonable and more to make you comfortable and able to have a great break. We visited Exmoor, Dartmooor, Exeter, Barnstaple and even went down to Looe and Newquay in Cornwall.
