Wells is beautiful, quant little high street with independent shops, beach with the beach huts is stunning, does get very busy. It’s central to visit other villages, we went to Fakeham, Sandringham Palace, Holkham. The accommodation was just what was needed one large room, with fridge, TV and sepetate shower room, large beautiful garden that we used most days for an hour or so rest between trips out. Hosts were great and milk in fridge was much welcomed. Would stay again

It was interesting watching the fishing fleet leave early morning and return with the catch and watch it unloaded. Wells has some excellent beaches. There are interesting places to visit nearby. We took the narrow-gauge railway to Walsingham, and on another day, the diesel-and-steam trains on the Poppy Line between Holt and Sheringham. In winter come for bird-watching In spring come for beautiful flowers at Sheringham Park and other places. Walking is enjoyable any time of year. And in summer you can pick any beach for swimming and sunbathing

I spent two nights in Wells next the sea.

I spent two nights in Wells next the sea. I’m a solo traveller and found this to be ideal length of stay. The weather was scorching hot and being a blue eyed freckly could not spend too much time on beach due to no shade.

Very pleasant old town. Good amenities.

Very pleasant old town. Good amenities. Some restaurants/pubs a bit expensive but you can find anything to suit your budget. The Golden Fleece is recommended and their beer is excellent. The main shopping street is closed to traffic from about 10am-5pm.

If you don't enjoy the hustle and bustle of large seaside...

If you don't enjoy the hustle and bustle of large seaside towns then Wells is for you as it's a lovely little Norfolk seaside town that offers great views, nice atmosphere, lots of places to eat and drink and independent shops, but without the usual seaside noise like fairground. It's worth noting that the beach is quite a walk from the town which is something to thinking about especially with small children or for people with mobility problems but you can drive down to it and there is a large car park.

It very relaxing and friendly place with a gorgeous beach.

It very relaxing and friendly place with a gorgeous beach. We went to ollies restaurant and the food was amazing. We also went to plattens and again the food was lovely too. Everything is in walking distance. We have a little one and she was never bored as there was a park and then there the beach and the arcades and she loved looking at the boats. It only a short drive from Cromer and Hunstanton.

We stayed in the Attic Suite - a quirky but cosy space, with a great big comfy bed, great bed linen, an en suite (which was open plan but screened from the bedroom by a dividing wall) and a separate lounge area - plenty of space for the two of us and our dog. We enjoyed breakfast in the sunny courtyard, and found the property to be brilliantly located for our short stay in lovely Wells next the Sea.

The breakfast is exceptional with so many little extras, eg fried potatoes and optional fried bread and black pudding. Great to have somewhere in Wells next the sea with on site parking. The staff really took a genuine interest in what we were doing and planned to do.

Far too many dogs allowed. Sometimes outnumbered people. Hotel staff room and cleanliness was good. But would go back because of too many dogs allowed in
