Friendly welcome, independent shops, walks to Hilbre, Red rocks, the sea lake, and a day in Ness. It is a place at peace with itself and has a cafe culture - people looked well and restaurants were busy - not sure if people visit from outside the area to eat but the sailing and windsurfing facilities were a big attraction and fun to watchGuest review byLindaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

West Kirby is a very clean and tidy little town, with lots of beautiful houses. The sea and Marine Lake are easily accessible and Ashton Park is beautifully kept. We enjoyed walking the Marine Path each morning. There are lots of individual shops in the town, as well as a couple of big supermarkets. All the shop keepers and most of the people around were friendly and responded positively to our greetings. There are lots of people walking dogs in the town, but we saw only one dog mess which hadn’t been picked up. There were also plenty of places to eat out, either for coffee, lunch or dinner at night. We tried several and were very satisfied with them all. St Bridget’s church is also worth a visit. It’s a lovely red sandstone church and is surrounded by an interesting graveyard!
