I loved my stay. Staff was incredible welcome and as a solo traveler they made me feel well. Clean bedroom, quiet overnight. I had dinner which was lovely with a variety of options! I had to leave quite early in the morning and they kept some breakfast apart for me to be faster on my way out!

Our family spent Christmas 2024 in this large, modern family home. The beds were incredibly comfortable and we all had fabulous nights sleep. Very large lounge which was perfect for our Christmas morning and a well equipped kitchen that accommodated our family's Christmas meal. Would highly recommend. Great service from host

The location is fantastic - interesting and pretty villiage with lots going on. The staff were friendly and went well above what we expected to make our stay comfortable. The restaurant food is really good - some of the best we have tasted in the UK. Great chef. Will stay again and would definately recommend for anyone travelling.

we didnt spend time in Winscombe.

we didnt spend time in Winscombe. We visited Chedder Gorge -went into a fasinating well labelled cave, ok for us, an old couple, to do. Wished we were young enough to be capable of engaging in the many interesting physical challenges available! Enjoyed Weston Supper Mare -lovely coastal walk and the millienial area plus that museum up the hill and excellent icecream all in Bristol. One of us climbed the Tor in Glastonbury. Not possible if you have poor balance...

Winscombe is the perfect location for a holiday in the Mendips. The very friendly village has shops of every kind ...including a bakery and a butcher.... and the surrounding countryside ...including Mendip Hills in every direction... is stunning. For more local walks, the course of the old railway line, closed in the 1960s, is perfect.

This was a stop over on the way to Cornwall to see Cheddar Gorge. the food was great, rooms clean tidy and air conditioned. It is perfectly situated for visiting local sites. The vie from the hotel is amazing especially if the weather is nice and you can take advantage of eating outside.

I'm sure Winscombe is a lovely place and I only stayed one night but it's not the nicest visually, not a picture postcard town. It has lots of practical shops and lots of independents which we would have liked to visit but sadly closed whilst we were there. Winscombe is well situated for visiting so many great places around it. The Woodborough Inn is good and friendly staff. Nice walk on Strawberry Line too! Lovely café called The Pantry Café for cakes and tea! 20 minutes drive to the sea!

We were originally shooting for Bristol, but pricing made us look a little further around. Winscombe is a small village, so there's not a lot to do right there. We day-tripped to Wales, Bath for the Roman Baths, and Stonehenge. It was perfect for the kind of trip we like to do.

Booked Sidcot Arms through Booking.com. What a start to our holiday. Beautiful peaceful place to relax. Amazing staff all round to help you out with everything. The food was delicious with a good selection to choose from. Facilities were also very good. Good size rooms to stay in. Car parking was easy when we left the car at the hotel. Bristol Airport just up the road. Thank you.

All the staff were amazing. Arrived very late and missed dinner (gutted as the food looks amazing) rang through and complementary sandwiches' were provided and the free welcome drink was an added bonus after a long drive. Really cosy atmosphere and lovely clean rooms and cooked to order breakfast made a change to the usual bland business hotels.
