Place are “tired” and outdated. Beds are not comfortable. There’s no actual full bed but 2 single beds put together- very uncomfortable. The size of the room is fine though. The balcony is nice too, but there was no outside furniture (!) and not enough pillows and towels for all of us (although were delivered the next day upon request). The hotel staff are nice, trying their best to please, but the place itself is very basic. Parking is crowded. This town is the local capital of spa centres. I recommend this impressive town to the lovers of old Stalin-era architecture and Georgian spa procedures. Plus, there are several abandoned spa resorts built in the 1950s. It's not for everyone - Tskaltubo is a quite small town, a once flourishing health resort that appears to be getting back on its feet. The Spring No.6 is a great spa complex with matter- of-fact but essentially great treatments with the " water of immortality" and the town is quiet, safe, green, and great for a health holiday on a budget. Also, if you love old Soviet architecture, better go before it is too late as the abandoned resorts are really crumbling, whereas some are getting a much-needed restoration now.Guest review byAnjaGermany - 10.0
Well it still respires the grand old days.
Well it still respires the grand old days. Things have gone into disrepair somehow, but I an see picking up in the coming years. Lot's of green spaces and walking opportunities. Everything relatively close. For example Sataplia nature reserve and Prometeus caves. Kutaisi also close. Easy to reach with Minibus or taxi. NATURE. The Investors have not come to thıs place. Therefore Nature were not destroyed. SPA center and also in the center of many destination. When you get your morning bath, you have a enought time to visit other place till the evening bath. Like Sataplia, Okatse, Kinchka, Martvili, Prometeus cave........ There's a Tskaltubo Spring resort in a 20-minute walk. I had a bike with me, and it's a wonderful place for XC or Gravel biking. Cozy small house with everything you need.
