The hotel is in a beautiful spot on the edge of the plain between lesser Caucasus and Kutaisi, with woodlands and the farmland of the property surrounding you. In the morning - admittedly it was a crystal clear day - the view across the whole of Western Georgia to the snow covered peaks of the great Caucasus was incredible. The restaurant area is very well done - nice decor and comfortable with a variety of nooks and crannies to sit. The food is pretty good as is the estate wine. Not the cheapest, but very good service. Rooms - ours was a family cabin overlooking the vines - are large, clean and with wonderful views. It was too cold for the swimming pool but it looks like a lovely place to spend a few hours.

I arrived in at Kutaisi airport in the middle of the night. Although my flight was delayed and immigration took me a bit the driver of the hotel which I booked in advance was patiently waiting for me. We reached the hotel in about 10 minutes, everything was perfectly clean and I could rest a few hours before my connecting flight in the next morning :-).

The couple who owns this house are very kind and simple. They offered tea when I arrived, I sat with them by the fireplace... the green marble encarved fireplace. The food served was simple, natural and homemade. Flavors that I had for the first time "white cherry jam" and another small fruit that tastes like guayavas, "feijoa", all from their garden. They also picked me up where my bus was dropping me off, and for a fair amount, they drove me to the airport at 5h30 AM. Being in the presence of such people is a blessing.
