From where to start... Welcoming was perfect with a bottle of wine. During the whole stay, you could contact them, and they would answer in a really short period of time. The view was simply amazing. The food was exceptional, with local stuff. They will also arrange hot springs for you if you like, they own a perfect restaurant with a perfect view, like 5 minutes from the glamping site, and will transport you if you want. Everything exceeded my expectations.

Tsotne was a great host in his kingdom. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The food was great, the rooms were clean, the beds were nice and his family very welcoming. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

The host was very helpful, even assisting with the marshrutka for the next morning, so we were able to continue our journey to Batumi successfully. We managed to rest well at the accommodation and woke up feeling refreshed. Although I’m not particularly a dog lover, even Bobby the dog melted my heart—we had a great time playing fetch. If you're looking for accommodation just 2 minutes from the cave city in Vardzia, you've found it!

Great place, clean and comfortable, among nature at short walking distance from the caves. Great hosts. Georgi and Dariajan honor people of Georgia with their lovely hospitality spirit and made us feel at home. Great food (Dariajan could open a restaurant 😊) with products from the garden… Absolutely delicious. Many thanks for these nice moments that will stay in our memory. A beautiful and unique guesthouse! Yes, the road might be a bit bumpy, but it is totally worth the trouble!!! This was probably the most authentic guesthouse we visited while in Georgia! The room was cozy, dinner and breakfast delicious and rich, the location great -so close to the cave city! We would definitely reccommend! Dear Hatuna, thank you for your warm hospitality! This farmhouse was one of ghe best things we did in Georgia, The location is between mountains and many monuments, sightseeing wievs. We were searching for little adventure and real experience, and we get it. Hostest made all food by herself, cheeses chachapuri and many else, food was really delicious, home made from natural products, the sadness is that we spend only one night, I hope we will come back next year!

Vardzia completely exceeded my expectations.

Vardzia completely exceeded my expectations. This incredible cave monastery carved into the cliffs of southern Georgia is not only visually stunning but also rich in history and spiritual energy. Walking through the complex feels like stepping back in time. From narrow tunnels to ancient chapels and breathtaking panoramic views over the valley, every corner tells a story. The scale of the site is impressive, and it’s hard to believe it was built in the 12th century! I also appreciated how well-maintained and accessible the site is. There are signs, pathways, and spots to stop and take in the landscape. If you’re into history, architecture, or just want to experience something truly unique, Vardzia is absolutely worth a visit. Ideal for solo travelers, history buffs, or small groups of friends seeking adventure and culture.

The Vardzia Caves should rank up there as a place to visit...

The Vardzia Caves should rank up there as a place to visit on everyone’s bucket list. They are simply amazing. It boggles the mind how these caves were dug out and inhabited over 1000 years ago. I thought the tunnels were superb. Made me feel like a kid again.

I had been to vardzia before around 8 years ago, its one of the most unique places in Georgia, which is just beautiful to explore, and its people are the most welcoming ive experienced in the country. To see and experience everything in the area its advisable to have a 4x4 (the main road in and out of the town is perfectly paved, but you can see more with an offroad type vehicle). Entry to vardzia cave city is cheap (15 lari) especially when it takes easily 2 hours to walk around the whole complex

If you are travelling from Tbilisi or any other city, do not...

If you are travelling from Tbilisi or any other city, do not book Vardzia resort only for 1 night, as the road is pretty tiresome and you cannot go out to visit all the attractions Vardzia suggests: the caves etc.
