We loved Agios Nicolaos.
We loved Agios Nicolaos. It’s a bustling port town but still small enough around the port area to be lovely. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from. Awesome beaches, loved the Kimzu beach club and the cute cafe with amazing views next to Votsalo beach. From Almyros beach you can walk to the end of the beach and join a footpath which leads you straight into town. About a 20 minute walk to centre where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. Fantastic restaurants and cocktail / wine bars, most doing traditional Greek cuisine. We have been coming to Agios Nikolaos for almost 10 years already and stayed in various locations (expensive hotels but also apartments) and I must say this is one of the best. It had 360 views of the sea, it is 5 min away from Amoudi beach and very close to the center of the city.
