We stayed at the hotel during our first visit to Crete off season (late March) for a week and would do it the same way again. The hotel offers generous and delicious breakfast/brunch, it's perfectly located in the old town, and our host suggested us a lot of off beat restaurants and places to visit and offered utmost attention. We even had an improvised workshop on how to prepare artichokes - everything was done to make our stay comfortable and memorable!

+ Beautiful design + I had a very comfortable and practical room, felt like home. I could comfortably unpack. Very calming colours, stylish design, big thank you to the designer of this hotel! Wardrobe, drawers, hooks, everything was thought through. Never had such a comfortable hotel room with such a relaxing vibe. I wish my home was designed like this :) + The hotel felt very safe (important for solo travellers). + Super friendly staff, very calm, smiling, and natural. + Nice Greek style breakfast. If you have special food requirements, you have to let them know. + Nice view from the room and breakfast area. + Very good location (a decent beach 2 minutes walk, the city centre 3 minutes walk, bars, restaurants on the same street). + Extremely clean! + I loved the bed and the choice of pillows. + Extremely clean bed sheets. + Very nice smell in the room and the hotel. + I went to Rethymno to rest and relax, this hotel made it possible. + Breakfast till 11 hrs., so you can sleep longer:)

Excellent modern - antique design! Beautiful in every detail! Very helpful staff (Tonia) with a lot of information and addresses, even though we did not meet in person during our two day visit. We got the entrance code and everything else was easy. We had an impression that the whole building is just for us. Unlimited access to coffee, water, fruits, etc. Simply perfect!

We had a lovely and well equipped room in the old hamam and really enjoyed our stay there. The hosts are very nice and happy to help. Located right in the middle of the old town, everything can be reached by foot.

Armenoi is a really lovely village, it has the most fantastic bakery and coffee place - Kalergis -which we visited every day! The restaurant served authentic Cretean cuisine- well worth experiencing! Delicious food and lovely hosts. There is also a “fast food” outlet that serves the best gyros you can find! Definitely worth going to! It also has two fantastic supermarkets selling all you will need and more!! There are also two petrol stations! It is only a short drive to the larger historic town of Rethymno, which is a great place to visit!

A charming village with lovely people.

A charming village with lovely people. Everything is there with supermarket, pharmacy, fuel station and marvelous bakery and a number of very good restaurants. Most importantly, minutes from everything Crete has to offer.

A very charming little village where tourism hasn't yet...

A very charming little village where tourism hasn't yet taken over. The surrounding area is beautiful, with plenty to discover, such as late Minoan tombs. You can take lovely walks both in and around the village. Rethymno, with its beautiful old town, is quite close. There are two supermarkets, a good restaurant, and a fantastic bakery.

I would recommend Arménoi to anyone who is not a beach...

I would recommend Arménoi to anyone who is not a beach enthusiast and does not need to fry in the sun the whole holiday. The village has perfect amenities at reasonable prices. Overall, it is about five degrees cooler here than on the coast, so it is great in the heat. The destination is suitable as a base for trips almost all over the island.
