A beautiful picturesque village.
A beautiful picturesque village. It is amphitheatrical with houses on the hills surrounding the port and the beach. It has a variety of restaurants along the port and beach with reasonable prices. Everything is within walking distance and most of the houses and villas are linked to the port with many steps. Andros is a nice friendly Island in general, and the fact that it doesn't have an airport makes it a nice family friendly destination. Batsi on the other hand is a nice contained beach town with a clean sandy beach that is ideal for families with kids and adults alike. It is very safe and Ideal for self entertainment. Came to Villa Arni with 3 other friends and it was perfect, only a 3 minute walk down to the beach and 5 minutes to the town. Yiannis was the sweetest, kindest and most hospitable host and made sure every moment of our stay was amazing, shout out to Yiannis! The hotel is just steps from a lovely beach, the restaurants and tavernas of Batsi. It was an added bonus to have beach towels provided (especially because we were travelling with hand luggage only) and complimentary sun loungers both on the beach and by the pool. George the manager/owner was very accommodating and the staff were great, can't think of anything to complain about. Maybe we expected a better view from the room, but room photos are always a jumble so I'm not complaining. If we came back to Andros we'd stay here for sure.
