The place to catch the railway up the mountains to Kalavryta. It also has a limited rail service to Athens and is close the the main Pelopponees motorway. It is very much off the tourist map and the town offers little in the way of attractions. It is however ideal for those wishing a quiet stay. The rooms are renovated not long ago and in general everything looks very neat. 15 min of walk from the Diakopto railway station to Kalavrita. There’s all useful information in the room (taxi, restaurants, emergency and etc.). The lady that welcomed and checked in us was very nice. Pets friendly place! Without a doubt the most soulful and comfortable place we have stayed in on a fairly long journey through Greece, Italy and France. Literally 100 meters from the sea, among flowering gardens and oranges and tangerines waving on trees. He gave us some great tips about the Diakopto train which was very helpful. The place itself is huge and has wonderful views.
