It's a nice beach and especially good if you are traveling with young children since the water is shallow and warm. For my personal taste the main beach is too crowded and touristy and would prefer quieter more rugged beaches, but it was a great destination traveling as a family with a toddler because it was safe and clean and we were staying at a hotel within walking distance from the beach.Guest review byLaurenGermany - 10.0

Great beach with varied water levels and temperatures from 20 to 30o C in the summer I’d say. Walk and swim around to find your perfect spot. The sand is wet in most of the places. A lot of nature but heavily visited especially on Mondays and Tuesdays from what it seemed to is during our stay. Two beach bars, two restaurants above, several room rental places, two supermarkets and some shops. Prices are a bit high from Crete, especially in the supermarkets, but still good options. The connection to Kissamos and Chaina is not bad, please not there is a new motorway section in the mountains that bypasses Topolia and its gorge tunnel that is not in Google maps yet.Guest review byTiagoPortugal - 10.0

The whole area is very beautiful.
The whole area is very beautiful. Starting with the journey to arrive at this place. You need to drive thru the Topolia gorge which is gorgeous. Once you pass the mountains you reach a terrain covered with scattered trees, palm trees, growing on the side of the mountain. The beach itself is lovely. Very popular beach with two or three areas with sunbeds and umbrellas for rent. Quite busy but the vibe was overall pleasant with lots of families enjoying the beach. Basic sandwiches to go and drinks are available at a snack bar on the beach. The hike down from the parking area can be challenging in the heat.Guest review byPearson
