We loved that the hotel was run by the owners, so it felt very personal. I had to do a bit of working, and got lots of help to get the best internet speed. Very friendly and helpful, that really made the stay special. The pool is also very nice for the kids. Thirdly the location is great, just 2 min by car to the super nice (second) beach of Faros where there also new, really good restaurants and a coffee shop.

Sigma far surpassed our expectations. The service was outstanding and highly personal—special thanks to Eleni, Theodora, Elli, and the rest of the team! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive to all our needs. Our room was cleaned daily, and breakfast was delivered to our villa with a delightful variety each morning. The property itself was stunning, from the amazing views to the well-equipped outdoor gym. To make our stay even more special, Sigma upgraded us for our wedding anniversary. It was an exceptional experience.

Faros is a lovely small village with no through road.

Faros is a lovely small village with no through road. It has three beaches within a few monists walk and if you sent off and walk around the big headland, you get another within say half an hour. There is a bar, mini market, a couple fo tavernas ( one better than the other by far) and a posh-isn fish restaurant. There is a bus service but we had a car which was a boon. The island is small so you can get to see other places in very easy timescales. There is huge influx of both Greek and (largely) French tourists in July and August which the locals were both dreading and of course, needing. Best avoid those months if you can.

Nice place for dinner, but the beach is very average.

Nice place for dinner, but the beach is very average. Food is expensive. I recommend Angie's restaurant and Fassolou's, which are right next door and very quiet. The cuisine is simple and authentic, although in almost all the restaurants, the seafood is frozen.

Lovely spot.

Lovely spot. Cute little harbor with three tavernas by the water where the food is excellent. Crystal-clear water. A bit too crowded in August, so you need to book in advance at all the tavernas, and the beaches are packed. You're crammed together under the tamarisk trees. Arrive early in the morning for the beach.

Faros is a pretty village on a small harbor, ideal for those seeking peace and quiet. However, it also boasts upscale restaurants with an elegant clientele in the evenings. For a beautiful beach with a cozy taverna, head to nearby Fasolú.

Faros is a small village without "frills" which is nice. There are three tavernas/restaurants which all three get very good ratings. A small mini-market which had most of the things. The beach/beaches are definitely acceptable & cozy. If you want to rent a car, there are none in Faros, which might be good to know

It's a seaside village with 3 beaches within walking...

It's a seaside village with 3 beaches within walking distance and a fishing port. There's a paved path to Chrysopigi and a beach in 20 minutes. Apollonia is a 15-minute drive away. There are several restaurants, a mini-market with essentials, and a bakery where the bread is very good (be warned, the prices are Parisian! 😋).
