The location is good - not in the touristy part of the island. There are a few hotels around, but the nearby town feels very authentic. There are very nice, simple, restaurants there. Walking and the town and eating with the locals just feels real here. You don't feel like a tourist. The way down to the beach is very beautiful. We enjoyed spending the 5 minutes to get to and from the beach. But be warned - it's some pretty steep and winding stairs, so not good for baby strollers or people with disabilities. Otherwise it is not hard, and a very picturesque walk. The beach is very natural and minimalistic, but we liked it very much because of that. No sunbeds, no bars. Just go down there, sit on the warm sand, swim in the beautiful sea, climb on the rocks - enjoy the nature. We visited early in the season, so there were very few people too. Most of the time we had the whole beach to ourselves! Everyone in the staff is very friendly. We stayed only a few nights but can remember all those friendly faces. It feels like you are a real guest there, not just another client to be served. Even the construction workers seemed nice (there was a bit of renovation happening). The owners are personally there, involved in the business. Had a chance to chat with the a little too. Interesting people. Good, real, down-to-earth business. We liked it. Breakfast and dinner are good. The selection is not overwhelming (the kitchen area is not very big), which I see as a big positive, but some people maybe might think it is too little. There are enough different dishes to keep it interesting and at the same time, if you plan it right, you can try almost every dish for each meal. And everything was good, without exception. Oh and the views from the room - the mountains or the sea, really can't go wrong either way, it's beautiful wherever you look. So overall, very positive experience. Recommend, would stay again.

We stayed here for three weeks and we were able to completely find our peace. A nice place with a quiet beach nearby and nice locals. Stella and Adonis also made our stay very convient. We are two friends around 23 years and they just felt like our parents haha. They came to clean our house every three days and we could always contact the couple if we had any questions. A friend of ours wanted to surprise us with breakfast and emailed the accommodation. Stella and Adonis did their best to give us a nice surprise breakfast. Really appreciate it, it was delicious!!! In the evening it is nice to sit outside because you have your own private patio. There is good parking and there is a very good restaurant across the street (Thea). And if you just want to lay in the garden, thats also possible. You can find a few sun loungers underneath the olive trees :) So in the end I would definitely recommend this place.

It's super nice countryside acommodation. Proper environment for relaxing holidays. Located on nice remote valley surrounded by high hills opening to the sea. River running aside. Great facilities. Everything was perfect in this hotel! We rented two deluxe rooms and they were very stylish, modern and beautiful. Everything there is renovated and clean. Staff was amazing they answered all our questions and were really helpful during all vacation. For instance, we ordered airport transfer through the hotel and required later check-out and it wasn't an issue. Rooms were cleaned every day! Also breakfast was tasty, we had everything that we needed.

The staff were really polite and friendly - there was a relaxed atmosphere about the hotel. You could see that it was really well maintained and very clean as the staff were readily available throughout the day. Beautiful surroundings, great facilities. Everything super clean, comfortable rooms and a great view from the balcony in sea view rooms. The hotel has its own beach with sun-beds and umbrellas as well as swimming pools. Sunbeds and umbrellas available at all times. On the beach there are different water sports available. The food was excellent all around. Lots of choices in the buffet restaurant. All-inclusive program is top-notch (with high quality food and drinks all included in the price)

Amazing family managing this place. They are really lovely. The view is wonderful, it's like a dream. The hotel is on a cliff, you are literally above the water. Very nice place, the house and the equipment was very nice, cosy, convenient and really generous space. The pool was just for us, clean and big enough. There was an outdoor place with grill, tables and a fridge. The beach was just 2 min walk, Nice, quiet, the sea was clean and nice to swim, small stones at the beach, however the sand in the water. Nearby shops. Overall satisfied recommend.

Just a perfect place between two cities - Ierapetra and...

Just a perfect place between two cities - Ierapetra and Makry Gialos. Very clean beaches and warm water even in October-November. Very fresh air among the olive trees. You can feel the atmosphere of the old Village while living in the new premises. Ferma village is a little forgotten peaceful gem, where you can find everything you need for life: nice tavernas with tasty food: Katerina, Steki, good supermarket Astron, cafe "Route 76". Don't forget to walk on the beach around the old abandoned 1000 rooms "Ferma Beach Hotel" to the small port, it's an experience in itself!

Beautiful place with lots of tourists.

Beautiful place with lots of tourists. The region is generally very touristic. It has some amazing places to eat, especially in the nearby Makri Gialos where I would recommend breakfast and coffee at Coukos Island and Italian rizotto with mushrooms for lunch at Diaskari, Makri Gialos.

a nice area of Crete with beautiful sea, in many different neighbouring gulfs, some interesting sights near by and good food. A good spot to explore eastern Crete, but certainly one needs a private car and be prepared that there are no highways around!

A good location for those seeking peace and quiet.

A good location for those seeking peace and quiet. A good starting point for visiting the southeast coast. A vehicle is necessary if you want to visit points of interest a little further afield.

The town itself is very small and not particularly exciting...

The town itself is very small and not particularly exciting for tourists. A rental car is really helpful here, as it allows you to quickly reach the beautiful towns of Ierapetra and Sitia. You can also explore the wonderful southeast coast of Crete. Driving the relatively well-maintained mountain roads and enjoying the views is definitely worthwhile.

Iris is a lovely warm and helpful host here in this hidden pearl of a hotel in Ferma. The apartment was pristine and located beautifully, pictures don't do it justice. Lovely atmosphere all around and we were so happy to have stayed here. I highly recommend staying at La Luna Blu if you're going to Crete. I know me and my family will definitely want to go back here again!

Loved the peace and tranquillity. Such a lovely place. The owner is very welcoming and attentive. So are the cleaners. It is our 2nd time here and we will be returning again in the near future. The hotel is located near plenty of beaches to explore. A car is needed though so that you can visit nearby places. Perfect base for holidays.

The owner became my best friend, one of the Angel god provide to me and my son uriel, we will came to London to visit us soon and I will go back there in dezembro with my whole family for 14 days, what a human bean, what a caracter, he is everything in the hotel and he does with love

Wonderful position with a well protected quiet sea cove below which is good for swimming and snorkeling. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food was buffet style, good quality and excellent value for money. Loved the design and relaxing ambience of this hotel. Highly recommend.
