The apartment was spotless clean, big, with plenty of light, and equipped with all the latest appliances. There was a balcony with a nice sea view and gentle breeze, perfect for breakfasts. The location was exceptional, with nice restaurants, supermarkets, and of course the beach just few steps away. Navarino Bay, needless to say, it's a fantastic place. Last but not least, our hosts were always there and very nice with us, ready to support with anything we needed. They even have a gelateria right downstairs, with top class gelato as well.

We took the offered breakfast on first day. Excellent, interesting food in large quantities which we were able to use for lunch too. Comfortable outdoor space and pool. Very walkable location along beach into town.

It is a bit of an odd place.

It is a bit of an odd place. The beaches are beautiful and picturesque, however there are no facilities on the beaches (no sunbeds, beachbars or even toilets). Any beaches with facilities are private to the exclusive Navarino Resort, and therefore you have no access. A lot of it is a nature conservation area, which is probably why its so beautiful, and walking around is lovely, but there isn't much else to do. The restaurants are very good, and a cut above those we encountered elsewhere in Greece - bit more expensive but definitely worth it. We were due to stay 5 days, but moved on after 3 as there just wasn't enough to do.

From Gialova you can easily reach many beaches, we liked Divari, Voidokilia, Peroulia, Lambes, Foinikounta. You can eat extremely well at Elia in Gialobva, Riki at Marathopolis. Unfortunately we experienced a lot of days with high winds so the sea was not calm, although beautiful to watch, like in Ammothines.

Gialova is a lovely little seaside town.

Gialova is a lovely little seaside town. The pier and broadwalk offer a lot of choices for food and drink. Elia is a great place to eat. Their food is delicious and the prices are reasobable. Giavlova Cruises is an awesome company that offers trips around Navarino Bay and Gialova lagoon or if you would rather just go fishing you can make arrangements with them. Went out on their boat with them a couple of times while there and it was thoroughly enjoyable. They offer sunrise and sunset tours too. Dont pass this by.

Gialova (yal-va) is a very small place blessed with some wonderful beaches and really nice properties. Despite the fact there are 3 Marriott brands and the Mandarin Oriental, it's still "small". Quaint but small "main street" with some great restaurants.

I have known this place for a long time.

I have known this place for a long time. Amazing natural beauty and good for walking and swimming. Gilaova is expanding at a great rate which makes me sad but means it offers a lot of facilities and places to drink and eat but rather sophisticated instead of simple tavernas. Still a special place.

We love the area and the beautiful beaches, especially Voidokilia Beach, which is absolutely stunning. The village of Gialova has excellent restaurants and the local people are very helpful and friendly.

This place is absolutely perfect, the room is clean and fresh thanks to the air conditioner, it has a nice balcony with the view on the bay and the island. the staff is one of the kindest we have aver met. around, only peace and nature, trees of olives, lemons and oranges. we also enjoyed the pool. it is 5 minutes from divari beach which we found amazing, 15 minites from the romantic Pylos. Gialova seaside is beautiful as well, with taverns just on the beach.

The apartment was in a great location. We had a fantastic view of the bay. The rooms were cleaned and new towels mid through the stay and plenty big enough for two. We walked to gialova and even though a steep climb back up, it was no problem.
