The beach in Ierissos is great - the water is crystal clear and a beautiful shade of blue. The beach isn't very wide but that is a major plus to me - there is always plenty of space and you are always close to the sea. Lots of good restaurants nearby (highly recommend Matakos - family business, delicious food and a more than fare price) . Would recommend to have a car so be able to move around. Ierissos is a small town and having a car will allow greater flexibility to go visit other spots in the region as well (recommend Ouranopolis - to visit, shop and rent a boat/ferry cruise etc from there).Guest review byDianaNetherlands - 10.0

Good location. Kilometers of beautiful beaches. The sea is clear, marked with a blue flag. The place has enough good bakeries, restaurants, fruit shops, two super markets, an open market on Tuesdays where fresh local products are brought. Numerous possibilities for trips to Mount Athos and its surroundings. The prices are normal, not too expensive as in some popular destinations. Suitable for family holidays. This wonderful villa is near by a big sandy beach.
This wonderful villa is near by a big sandy beach. It's located in a very calm area and we enjoyed our vacation out of crowded towns.
