We recently spent a wonderful holiday in Greece, staying at a charming family-run hotel that felt like a home away from home. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in warmth and hospitality. Maria and Dmitrij, our incredible hosts, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Evenings were a delight as we explored national drinks together, sharing laughter and stories. The hotel’s chef, their mom, prepared the most amazing breakfasts and lunches, each meal a delicious showcase of local flavors and culinary expertise. Our experience was unforgettable, thanks to the genuine care and attention we received. If you're looking for a place where you're treated like family, this is the spot. Highly recommended! I had the most incredible stay at this hotel! First and foremost, its location is a gem, just a 5-minute stroll from the beach. The host went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. They welcomed us warmly, provided invaluable recommendations about the islands, and even treated us to a welcome drink. Upon entering our room, we were impressed by its cleanliness and modernity; it felt like it had just been built. The bed was a haven of comfort, with the softest sheets I've ever experienced. Great sound isolation; there wasn't a hint of noise disturbance, paired with the silent air conditioning we had the best night’s sleep of our entire holiday. But the true showstopper was breakfast. It was nothing short of incredible. From mouthwatering omelettes to a tempting selection of pastries, cakes, and various fresh juices, it was a feast for the senses. And to top it off, the hotel had the foresight to provide towels for the swimming pool, making it even more convenient for guests to enjoy their stay. What's more, there were not one, but two outstanding local restaurants nearby, offering diverse dining options within easy reach. Overall, my stay at this hotel was an absolute delight. If you're looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and conveniently located place to stay, I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Lovely place! We had a wonderful stay, the apartment and pool were brand new, very clean, and offered a stunning view. The host was very kind and prepared delicious breakfasts for us each morning. Great location, within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and the bus stop.

It’s really a gem. Private pool, 10 minutes walk away from a very good restaurant. 500 meters away from the beach and with a short cut you can cycle in 30 minutes to the mountains. To the port it’s 50 minutes on a bicycle.

I liked the location, the flat have everything. There was bread, jam, cereals, food fir breakfast when I arrived. The cleaning lady come every 3 days and she is kind and do a good job. Change of bedsheets and towels every 3 days. perfect ! Owner is friendly and answered all my questions . Easy process to check in. I strongly recommend!

Beautiful host, so kind leaving us a welcome pack on arrival including wine! 🥰 Location is 5mins from a beautiful sandy beach and 10 mins from a market, beautiful beach side restaurant, bakery and 25mins to Chora(Naxos port). Such a calm and relaxing location and amazing value for money. Thank you 🥰❤️ Greek hospitality is the best in the world in my opinion

This is a remarkable property: lots of space; fully equipped kitchen (well, it had all that we needed); large kitchen/dining table; large west facing balcony with a big table, chairs, recliner chairs and a hammock, and a view of the sea towards Paros (there are a couple of properties between it and the sea); small front courtyard with a handful of pretty plants. Bathrooms spacious and immaculately clean: looking at the photos we had wondered about the strange (for us) design of the showers -- but they work really well. Comfortable beds. Lots of storage space. Above all it is quiet and peaceful. Windows and doors have mosquito/fly screens -- we weren't particularly plagued but there were a few beasties. It is obvious that the owner takes pride in her property. She kindly provides a basket of essentials on arrival, enough for a breakfast or two. Little extra things: two beach umbrellas; bamboo house slippers. We stayed six days, and we had a cleaning service and change of towels half way through. There are a handful of very good restaurants nearby (one in walking distance), and a couple of supermarkets within a few minutes drive. We noted in other reviews concerns about building works. Kastraki is a resort of independent villas in development. There are a lot of unfinished properties in the area. One such is virtually next door to Villa Tranquillita, and its owner occasionally turned up to play with power tools. We got the impression that he has a day job, and in reality the disturbance was minimal. The owner is friendly and very helpful. She calmed our nerves brilliantly when we had an unscheduled, and then a (surprise) scheduled power cut.

    We liked the premises and quiet sandy beach. There is free parking on premise and some very good restaurants nearby. Make sure that when you get the sea view room, you ask for the direct and not the side views room.

    You will notice immediately when you start to drive down the...

    You will notice immediately when you start to drive down the coast and get to thr area of Mikri Vigla that many of the roads have not all of them are unpaved. Leaving this to see definitely more deserted or undiscovered. This being the case, the villa is remote They say there was a three-minute walk to the beach, but honestly, we had to use the car all the time. So the location is both a blessing and kind of a disability - 1+ was we worked our way back for dinner most nights and found what people might call inexpensive taverna’s Kastraki area that were a gem

    I don't want to talk up Kastraki too much because if to many...

    I don't want to talk up Kastraki too much because if to many people are drawn to it it will become overcrowded, like Agia Anna and Plaka have become. We thoroughly enjoyed the spaciousness on the beach, the lack of crowds, and the better-than-decent restaurants within a few hundred meters.

    Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We had the two room apartment. Staff were efficient and helpful. Wifi was weak we could not do our work. Hotel was clean and rooms were serviced daily. Breakfast was good. Location was far from the hubs.

    Kastraki is the most windy beach of Naxos : it is excellent...

    Kastraki is the most windy beach of Naxos : it is excellent for kite or windsurfing but not for resting on the beach to read. Surroundings are quite with some restaurants and small supermarkets. You need a car if you stay at Kastriki.

    When I arrived on the terrace was an old bucket with old cleaning water, broom sticks all over the place and beneath at the bottom.od the stairs it was like a trash. There was an unpleasant odeur when I arrived. Also the fridge was washed with old cleansing water, as it was really stinking. No bathroom towels, no kitchen basics like a pan or hardly cutlery. I had to request all a couple of times. Then I was requested to leave the room unthough I had made a reservation for a longer time; all together around 3 weeks!! I should suppose that I'm the best guest with such a long reservation, but I felt treated in the cleaningness and availability of the basics in the room like the worst! Only Maria tried her best to handle this chaos well, but it was not her fault, she was just left with the results of a lack of love of service and cleaningness and had to handle all my complaints at the desk. But it's not her fault. It felt like because it's the cheapest accommodation they can do whatever they like. But it's not a 20 euro accommodation but 50-70. For this price you expect that the host does his basics, but he didn't. It feels like a money machine. There's just the energy of they just don't care. And you have to ask for everything to get solved. Yes the view is spectacular, but the hospitality and having the feeling that people are trying to to their best is absent..also around the villas there was mess everywhere. Because I was the first guest? This can't be. Worst customer care ever (not because of Maria that does the reception, as she has to handle this mess) but because how the property and me as a guest was received. Literally with a garbage mess in front of my studio and terrace. It took two days before they came to clean in

    Beautifully decorated place literally few steps away from the beach. The hotel is very well maintained and we felt welcome. Thalassa is a perfect choice if you wish stay further away from the crowds and have the closest beach nearly just for you ;) There's a local bus to the city and nearby beaches, but we recommend renting a car to experience the island and it's multiple beaches more freely. There's a couple nice tavernas close by, but DO NOT miss the dinner at Thalassa: Fotis' food is just outstanding!

    Constantina is an excellent host and guide, the two beds apartment is spacious and well tooled, 5 mins walk from beautiful Kastraki beach, 5 mins drive from beautiful Plaka and Mikra Vigli beaches. Location is quiet and secure with private parking. Naxos is 20 mins away by car, so is Filoti, both vibrant villages. Highly recommend and will sure get back for an authentic Aegean island experience.

    Blue Gem is a perfect place to stay near Kastraki and to move around the south of the island. It's super clean, the owners are wonderful and make you feel at home, it's at walking distance to the beach and there's a supermarket nearby. The beds are very comfortable and the appartments are nicely decorated. Plus the view on the Aegean sea is wonderful! Highly recommended!

    We loved Naxos, especially the tranquility of Kastraki beach and the temperature of the sea water. The hotel is very quiet, with a simple, neat and tasteful decoration. Breakfast was varied and of good quality - all delicious. Nikos is a super host. Always available and very attentive to the needs of its customers. We felt like home. Hope one day could return ... :)
