Everything was perfect. The staff is very friendly and helpful ( Christina , Theo , the front office manager) everybody wants to make your stay amazing. From the first step in the hotel you fill special. The cleaning is very well done . Even the air freshner smell wonderful. We hope to return next year.

The sea front executive suites are amazing, the sun set for your own private pool is something exceptional, just go for it... This is a great establishment. So much excellence. Women run this hotel and you can tell because there is such great hospitality and really make you feel at home. hotel rooms exceptionally clean! the only thing was that the bed throw isn’t washed after every visitor as it wasn’t clean when I arrived and had stains and hair so that can be fixed in their cleaning regime. i just took it off the end of the bed and never used it. but EVERYTHING else was very very very clean and I was happy and at peace. bed was also comfy and sheets were comfy. shower was nice size and nice and hot and good pressure. i had a double inland view room. this means the room faces the street and that can be noisy however everything is so great you can’t even complain. I’ll come again and book a sea view ☺️ as that was the only room available when I booked staff some of the male staff could use a little more training I think. it may sound like a weird thing to say but all the female staff were EXCELLENT, friendly welcoming happy, helpful, attentive. went out of their way to make my experience a great one. manager is great 💛. the girl with beautiful curly hair was amazing too. and the lady in the restaurant maybe manager? she was very attentive to me and was great! the extra mile it was my birthday and I was on my own. i was given a glass of sparkling wine, the staff wrote happy birthday in flowers on my bedroom floor AND put they put balloons in the room whilst I was having dinner. what a surprise and a gift. so generous and so kind! i was in tears! also I had a massage and they also gave me gifts as it was my birthday! the massage! INCREDIBLE. Marina the masseuse wow she is the best that I’ve had and I have literally had so many massages all over the world and that was the best. she is so kind so personable, I had the Cretan massage and the deep tissue massage with hamman and body scrub. perfection! if you’re a masseuse you can learn from her.

We have just returned from our 4 night stay and we cannot fault a single thing. Other than being absolutely beautiful with a focus on wellness, what makes Uzenie so special is the staff. Every single member of staff was attentive, kind and gave exceptional customer service. We celebrated my fiancés 30th birthday here and although we usually avoid returning to the same place, Uzenie is somewhere we could return every year. The food at the buffet for breakfast and dinner was of fantastic quality- much better than your average hotel buffet. Nothing was too much to ask for and we cannot thank you all enough for the most wonderful experience.

I stayed at the hotel from June 28th to July 8th and was totally amazed. First of all, the professionalism of personnel, they all speak fluently English, German, Greek (of course) and occasionally other languages. I would like to thank all of them and especially Katerina who gave me the best room ever with the sea view, and always assisted in anything I asked for. All personnel is super friendly and it feels like you are a special guest. The hotel location is beautiful but a bit tough to get to from Heraklion by city bus. The driver missed the stop Sfakaki (you should tell him in advance where to stop and also remind). I traveled alone and didn't have a transfer, on the way back I had to order a private taxi which was a bit pricey. But other tourists especially from Germany had transfers (big bus that picked them up) depending on their tour agency agreements I guess. The room was very neat and clean, the ladies change towels once per 3 days and wash the floor every day that I didn't see in other hotels (that's bravo!). The sea was sometimes warm and sometimes cool depending on the wind direction. You should watch the color of the flag on the beach - green and yellow is OK with some waves, red - storm, you can't swim, the guard usually signals about that. But anyway the sea is wonderful. The food was good, I had HB, and I liked the dinners more because of meals variety. The drinks are served at separate price. There is a supermarket just 4 minutes walk from the hotel where you can find EVERYTHING from fresh fruits to women hygiene goods and children toys. Usually I bought white wine at the supermarket, one bottle 0.75l only 6 euro (White Sail), very delicious. And local beer is also nice. The beach bar offers delicious food also, I loved tuna salad and gyros pita (7 and 4 euros respectively). The beach is nice but the deckchair and the umbrella costs 5 euro per person.

Everything about this hotel is lovely, relaxing and hospitable including the management and staff. Great pool, breakfast and delicious Greek salad and the tomatoes are so tasty! Loved the room with a panoramic view overlooking the sea. The hotel and luscious grounds are spotless and airy and the buildings have a lovely colour scheme. The floral displays by the reception and throughout the grounds are beautiful. Very comfortable sofa's in the reception too, with complimentary magazines about Crete and Cretan life. No need to go to the tourist information office - just ask the the staff who are very knowledgeable about the area, things to do places, to visit. It's a lovely family run hotel, with great transport links to the Old Town and centre of Rethymno - bus stop just by the hotel. Don't forget to tip the staff who all work extremely hard to make you stay 5 star.
