I recently stayed at a newly build apartment in Kritsa, that is a traditional and beautiful village. The apartment is equipped with modern amenities, including a coffee machine and fully equipped kitchen. The check in was at 15:00 but I request an early check in at 14:00 and the host immediately answered to me and allowed to me to check in early. I recommend this place to everyone that is looking for a clean and comfortable stay on a beautiful pedestrian street in the center of the village.

We really like the breakfast with the sea view over the heated pool. The access to the beach was easy, the service was great and staff attnentive. Morning sun was also great. The bar area next to the pool was also great. Sun beds were fantastic.

Hotel is literally 100m from the cristal clear and sandy beach. Staff is super helpful and great! Couple of minutes walk to the center is trought very nice street, the city is beautiful and great .. You can leave your things on the last day of your stay at the reception. Everything was just perfect!

So much to explore in Kritsa, from the small alleys to the local shops, the women's cooperatives making fresh delicacies and marmalades, the Rodanthi museum with exhibition on endemic plants - medicinal, edible, and dyes! And just meeting people at cafés and tavernas!

On the eve of August 15th, the experience at the Church of Panagia Keras, a Byzantine church, is excellent, it is worth attending the service! Across the street is the tavern Paradisos with great food and a friendly environment.

A typical village nestled on the mountainside.

A typical village nestled on the mountainside. Visiting the gorges and strolling through the old village is truly immersive; you need to enjoy walking and getting lost in the maze of streets. The shopkeepers can be a bit pushy. The restaurants are pleasant, with excellent service and traditional dishes; raki is always served at the end of dinner, along with dessert.

A beautiful mountain village with authentic tavernas, but not overrun with tourists. The Church of Panagia Kera is a must-see! There's also a folklore museum in the village worth visiting. Enjoy a lovely hike in the gorge of the same name. It's also a good base for excursions to Agios Nikolaos, the beaches further afield, and practically the entire eastern part of the island.

During the day it's full of tourists, but they disappear in the afternoon, leaving behind a peaceful place. Plenty of good tavernas – for example, Aristidis and Paradisos – and a village square with trees where you can relax in the evenings.
