Luxury indeed! We booked an Executive Suite Sea Front with Private Pool and it was everything we hoped it would be! Room extremely clean and comfortable, the pool just next to some grass and then the beach. Perfect! The staff was also fantastic. Very helpful from the start to finish, every each one of them make you feel welcome and special by being helpful without bothering you. They were accommodating and eager, always appreciated in a 5 star hotel. You can feel the hotel is new, everything works and isn't worn out. The main pool seem nce and fun enough, even if we didn't use it. The main restaurant (included in the Half-Pension rate) is pretty good. No fine gourmet but frankly, I prefer a diverse and fresh buffet for breakfast and dinner than fine dining. There are 2 other à la carte restaurant that also organize special nights, but we didn't try them. The beach is a mix of sand and pebbles (you'll need swimming shoes to go in comfortably) and extends very far. So even if the hotel doesn't organize anything special, you can easily find activities to do a bit further. Be aware that there can be a lot of wind and currents : swimming was forbidden for 3 days for us. All in all a fantastic stay at a beautiful hotel, would recommend without hesitation!

Great place. Clean and well equipped rooms, we really appreciated the room with its own pool. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of choice. The lady manager was very nice and tried to help us with everything. Big greetings to Joanna from the restaurant, who we had a lot of fun with and made us feel warmly welcome. The nearby town is full of restaurants, bars and shops, the beach is a minute away, so great. We will definitely come back here again.

We had an unforgettable stay at Nalu Resort in Rethymno! The hotel itself is stunning, with a modern yet cozy atmosphere, and the staff are truly exceptional—always attentive, friendly, and ready to help with a smile. A special big thank you to Vicki in the breakfast room for starting our mornings with such warmth, and to the beach / pool, reception and housekeeping team for their great service. We chose the premium jacuzzi room, and it was absolutely the best decision—pure comfort and luxury! The location is perfect: just a short distance to the beautiful Rethymno town, which is truly a pearl, and also a great base for exploring many interesting spots around Crete. Everything about our stay exceeded expectations. We’re already looking forward to returning!

The hotel is small, with a small number of rooms. At check-in they give a bottle of local wine and a plate of fruit. The staff are very polite and pleasant. Some days we lived with a sea facing room, a few with a garden view. The rooms have everything, clean. Very liked that for dinner every day was a different cuisine. And everything was delicious! My husband has gluten intolerance - and the chef told him which dishes were gluten-free, and sometimes even cooked specially. There was a very good breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thanks to the hotel we had an amazing holiday!

This is the perfect getaway for peace and quiet. The hotel has preserved the traditional aspects of this old Cretan village. Every room has it's own individual style, which is lovely. There is a welcome drink and a tour offered at check-in. The room itself (we had the Hyades room) was very spacious with all amenities needed. I particularly enjoyed the bath products. Cute little swimming pool with yummie snacks and drinks and the best fries i have ever had. Staff is friendly and attentive. Breakfast options were good, a few traditional Cretan products as well. Good coffee.

Fantastic location. Staff were incredible. The 3 pools and outdoor sun beds were amazing. Rooftop pool and bar were perfect in the day and evening for a sun set drink. Rooms and Beds / Cocktails / Evening entertainment and buffet were amazing , something different everyday. Highly recommend!!

The area is lovely.

The area is lovely. Just a 15 minute drive into the mountains you’ll find rustic Crete. No shops and only two restaurants with no menu, just whatever they were cooking that day. The most amazing fresh food; all produced from their own farm. Absolute bliss.

The place itself isn't very exciting, but it has everything...

The place itself isn't very exciting, but it has everything you need: a supermarket, café, tavernas, a restaurant, a beach, and excellent transport links. We had a rental car and did a lot of exploring, which made the location perfect, as it's very close to the main road. We wouldn't recommend it for a stay without a rental car.

A lovely little village, not too touristy – here you can...

A lovely little village, not too touristy – here you can still experience a bit of "real Crete". Several restaurants (including Dimitris' Taverna right on the beach – you could kiss the chef!) and shops. Excellent transport links by car and bus.
