This resort is beyond. Ultimate luxury in every possible way. Resort is a town in itself with its own open air agora like something out of Hollywood with European flair. Pack your glad rags. People dress up. Multiple options to swim eat, select physical sporty activities or to relax unwind for mental well-being. Choices are too numerous to do it all. Breakfast buffet is ULTIMATE. Expect to gain weight. Too much goodness to surpass. Busy place but due to sheer size it doesn’t ever feel crowded. Beach is sandy with gentle waves. Must visit as short walking distance from rooms. Lots of nearby sights and towns and beaches to visit making it hard to leave resort as an all inclusive. Don’t miss the opportunity to combine it all. Well worth it and highly recommended. Comes with a price tag but you always pay for quality. This place doesn’t disappoint. Stay min 3 nights.

I was after a bit of down-time out after a long cycle with...

I was after a bit of down-time out after a long cycle with several friends, so the quiet little rural seaside town suited me. The harbour is being structurally rebuilt so I couldn't get a boat out to Proti island which was a disappointment. There are a few good beaches along the generally rugged coastline and some lovely restaurants in town. The agricultural nature of area means that it is not consistently pristine and there is a fair amount of farmers' litter evident. It would be ideal to have had a car for more exploring.

Nice town, lots of places to eat suiting all budgets. Couple of bakeries, supermarkets. Waterfront locations but some nice places on the second row in too. Friendly working town, most of the tourists were Greek and probably outnumbered by locals. Good base, lots close by.

Marathopoli is a nice small (fisher) village.

Marathopoli is a nice small (fisher) village. Easy to find, cosy. Few tavernas, excellent view to the sea. In the village itself is not much to see or do. But its a good starting pint to go and explore nearby towns (Pylos, Methoni etc), a number of beaches. Kalamata on not far away.

Marathopolis appears to be in the midst of a big push to...

Marathopolis appears to be in the midst of a big push to improve its tourist potential, just as Pilos, Gialova and the surrounding coast have transformed into upmarket resorts over the past twenty years. However, even though the town does have a large selection of seaside resaurants and bars leading out of the port, they are hampered by the extremely rocky coastline for some miles north and south. A pity, since this will make all the difference to the tourist market.

The town, with its small promenade and numerous restaurants, is suitable – few tourists – a rental car is recommended as there is no public transport – the litter on the streets and beaches is not so nice – many cats and many dogs

I really liked everything for a relaxing holiday, perfectly clean, bed linen changed every two days, towels every day. The kitchen has everything you need, coffee, tea, sugar and it is replenished all the time. Very friendly and helpful staff, thank you for your care. The only thing is that the hotel is located far from the settlements on the very seashore, so it is better to travel with a car. Wonderful, clean and deep pool with sun loungers and umbrellas. I liked everything without exception.

We really liked everything. The staff was extremely polite and friendly and made us feel like home. The room was beautifully designed and clean, equipped with branded amenities and a very comfortable mattress. Overall, the hotel was clean, with a large swimming pool that we really enjoyed. The breakfast was also very tasty, as well as the snacks and lunch options.

The room was great for our family of 6. Super clean, spacious, equipped and comfortable. The pool was a very surprising treat! the kids loved it. The hotel is quite secluded, surrounded with olive groves, so quiet is guaranteed! There is no reception on site but during the day the hotel's stuff lady was there and was able to assist with anything we might need.
