You would definitely need a car here to be able to visit Oia and Fira easily. Also Kamari was actually our favourite place, had a lovely beach, shops and restaurants. The terrace was a great place for sunbathing and the hot-tub was great in the evenings when it became a little cooler (we were here at the beginning of May). The village has a few restaurants which are great and a lovely wine bar called Symposium.
