The owner of the property was extra kind, even if we had no breakfast, he invited us for free, and when we arrived a welcome coffee he offered. Excellent view, excellent host. There is a tip box, you can find the right way to respect the hospitality.

A very beautiful house in an excellent location, right on the edge of the village — just a 1-minute walk from the main square. Quiet, tastefully furnished, and well cared for. The host provided clear instructions and was very flexible. Overall, we were very pleased!

I stayed for 7 nights and had a ground floor large room, good sized shower room and toilet, fridge and coffee making facilities, good mattress and other areas to sit and lounge too. There is decent Wi-Fi and a TV and although this room didn’t have air cooling (some of the others do), it had a good fan, and was nice and comfortable temperature-wise due to thick stone walls and floor, and was not in direct sunlight, during a hot period in Greece. The outside courtyard and view is spectacular, and lots of places to sit and relax and admire this view. With a very rustic and natural feel, wind chimes and gentle breezes. Antigone, who manages the guesthouse, is a wonderful person, providing help and advice, she is super friendly and genuine. She cleaned the rooms regularly as well and is in contact if you needed anything. As a lone traveller I felt very safe in the village, and the courtyard is gated and guesthouse access off the main walkways. The location is right in the centre of the village next to the church and the large tavernas. I would recommend Taverna Olympus for great food for dinner and very friendly service, and also Fofo’s Old Cafe which is higher up about 20m from there, for coffee, pies, cakes and cocktails and has incredible views. I felt very contented staying at Erato Guesthouse and in Palaios Panteleimonas and if coming again would return to stay there for sure.

    Great breakfast for only 6€.

    Great breakfast for only 6€. Beautiful scenery and architecture. A true taste of Greece - only Greek tourists around. Felt very authentic. Wish we could have stayed longer as our visit was so relaxing. We visited the old castle, a local beach and Mount Olympus. Plenty of hiking routes to explore. The locals were all so friendly and welcoming.

    It is a most attractive village catering for tourists with bars, tavernas and shops. Stunning location, excellent walking opportunities, not far from the coast. We stayed at the Pliades guesthouse just outside the village, which suited us as it was quiet.

    We liked the location of it ,the Staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean! What we didn’t like : it didn’t have an airco, and there was no Ventilation in the Bathroom so there was no escape for unpleasant smells after using the toilet or humidity after using the shower! Overall Palios Panteleimonas is a beautiful traditional village the view from it is breathtaking., There are taverns where you can eat good.

    A traditional settlement/village.

    A traditional settlement/village. Beware the fact that all paths are made of rough and often slippery stones. Almost 100% meat eating restaurants. Amazing views and nice coffee places for a 1-day visit.

    Magnificient view of the coast. A very warm welcome (literally). We travelled on a cold and rainy day and found the room nicely heated. The whole place felt very cozy. Theodoros, the owner, was very kind and genial. We got lost in the village trying to find the place. He went out of his way to find us and take to the hotel.
