Breakfast beside the pool and beach was awesome. Supermarkets are nearby. Very helpful staffs, allowed for extra time during check-in and check-out, near public transport (k-tel bus stop), near conference hall. Nice location to do walking to nearby areas, gym opens early (6am)

Location, friendliness of the staff, cleanliness. Literally steps from the beach, and very close to cafés, shops, restaurants and nightlife. The public areas were very tidy, clean and inviting. All in all, top experience! Shame we had to change hotel due to unavailability of accommodation there for the whole stay.

Everything was perfect !! the bed is very comfortable, the balcony offers a wonderful view of the beach and the mountain at the same time. A very good location, in the center, but still away from the crowds. Jenny was very nice, she helped us with useful tips, taxi from the airport and even to rent a car. Great room, clean and downstairs there was a terrace where we ate very well. Everything was wonderful!

The facilities, the services and above all, the personnel, made our stay one of the most amazing experiences when it comes to summer vacation! We travelled for the first time with our baby which was 8 months old, and they made everything so easy for us, being always there to help us, to find solutions for us, and always with a huge smile on everyone’s face!     We went during school holidays so it was pretty busy but the tourist high street was quiet during the day while everyone was on the beach. The food was excellent. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. The beach bars were also good. The Cretans were very friendly and helpful. Crete has plenty of interesting sites to visit both inland and on the coast. We would happily return.

    Plataniás is bustling - very busy full of shops (which are great) and restaurants. There are, unfortunately, too many places serving chips with everything! We wish there had been some more options, i.e. rice, authentic Cretan dishes, taverna based meals, but it is what it is. There was no need for a car - most places were walkable. Our villa was amazing, but we would not return to Plataniás - it seemed to have dropped down a notch since our trip last year. We saw quite a few young (and older) men walking around shirtless and some girls dressed quite inappropriately. I'm not a prude, but it made the area far less salubrious than it should be.

    I don't usually like touristy places but Platanias had a lovely feel about it. Not too many people, although this may have been because we went in September. We visited the War Museum - definitely worth it. Also went to John the Hermit cave and monastery at Kissimo which were unbelievable. Beach was great and snorkeling trip fantastic and well looked after.

    Touristy beach town extending along one road with lots and lots of restaurants, bars, hotels etc. lovely to get away from the road onto the beach. Beach was calmer and more relaxed away from the town centre.

    It’s a great location with its own beach, but also a short driving distance to other fantastic beaches such as Falasarna, Elafonisi, Balos. A lot of food options. Not so much clubbing or night life.

    The Best place to stay in Platanias, perfect location direct on the beach beautiful balcony with sea view. Houses are beautiful and very clean, all the hotel is very nice decorated, you feel super comfortable. Effi the owner is a wonderful person woll do anuthing to make your holiday perfect, lot of reccomandations. The location is perfect eorh lot of shop and restaurants just 2 min. Walking from the main street.

    One of the best Hotel value for money in Platanias, the room's are big with a little kitchenette witch is perfect, extremly clean ( towels,beds ), good location if you have rented a car from Chania, you only need to drive 30/40 minutes to the best beach's around Crete. A/C works perfectly,bath has everything you need,bed is comfotable,balcony is big with nice view,fridge is huge. I totally recommand this!
