I had the pleasure of staying in this traditional Greek house nestled in a tranquil mountain village, and it was a truly serene experience. The village is incredibly peaceful, providing the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The house is a delightful blend of rustic charm and modern comfort, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The quiet surroundings allowed for a restful retreat, where you can unwind and reconnect with nature. Plus, the stunning ocean views from the village add an extra layer of beauty to the experience. For those with a car, there are lovely beaches just a short drive away, offering the best of both worlds—peaceful mountain living and easy access to the sea. The nearby beaches are perfect for a day of sun and relaxation, making it an ideal destination for those who enjoy both the mountains and the coast. The village itself is a hidden gem, with excellent local eateries offering delicious Greek cuisine. Whether you’re in the mood for hearty meat dishes or fresh local produce, the food in the area is outstanding and not to be missed. The hospitality of the owners was exceptional—they were warm, welcoming, and always ready to offer tips and assistance to make our stay even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway in a traditional Greek mountain village with great food, stunning ocean views, and access to beautiful beaches, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommended!

My partner and I only stayed one night but everything was very comfortable. The staff is very nice and was accommodating of our early check in and super early check out. We had a cute balcony and a line to dry clothes/beach stuff and the room was surprisingly big. Good views of the mountain. I would definitely stay here again for more days if I return to Diakopto!

What a gorgeous location, and the host Kosta was a delight! He gave us some great tips about the Diakopto train which was very helpful. The place itself is huge and has wonderful views. We ate a beautiful dinner at his restaurant on the beach and watched the sun set as the kids played. Wished we had time to eat our breakfast there too :-)

Mrs Dimitra is a superstar host. Antonios rooms are immaculate, clean and comfortable. Kitchenette, jaffle iron, fridge. Mrs Dimitra went out of her way to offer umbrellas on our stay as there were surprise summer rain . You will not be dissapointed. Great location. Akrata beach is aquamarine clear and clean. Breathtaking!

    Platanos is a traditional greek village with absolutely amazing views. Great place to stay for summer as its a 5 min drive downhill to the beach or in winter only a 20 min drive up into the mountain Ski resort. The village has an amazing restaurant and has a great reputation with the locals for serving the best traditional food in the area. There is also two tavernas next to the local childrens play area for a more relaxed dinning experience. Lastly there is a small bar for late drinks and relaxation. Car hire is recommended as the first shops are a 10 min drive.
