Sapphire Horizon is a hidden gem in Kissamos and highly recommended for all types of holidays, whether as a couple or a family like us. It was the perfect base for us to visit the nearby top beaches such as Balos, Elafonisi, and Falassarna, and to enjoy dinner in Kissamos or at a nearby taverna in the evenings. What stood out most was the exceptionally friendly and service-oriented staff – true to the motto “small but excellent.” The breakfast was great, with something for everyone, and even snacks during the day were available. A clear 100% recommendation from us!

Amazing service They offered to dry our clothes!! There’s a washing machine and they gave us powder!! Didn’t charge for any of that. Very kind people especially Elaine was very kind and helpful The hotel itself was very good also- good amenities Breakfast was good, made hot drinks with alternative drinks. This place is definitely at least 4 star and will soon become that, if not 5 star. Really affordable at the moment.

From start to finish we were blown away by this hotel. Absolutely stunning design. Spotlessly clean, the smell walking through the hotel was just gorgeous. Staff were amazing. Especially Dimitri, he was so kind and always helpful. Beds were soooo comfy. Delicious breakfast. Just absolutely stunning! Could not fault this place. We will definitely be back 🙌

Our room offered a beautiful sea view, it was spacious with a nice balcony. Loved the sandy beach directly in front of the hotel, and they provide complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas for hotel guests- which was a great gesture! We appreciate friendly and helpful service from the staff, they even provided some wine and refreshments for my partner’s birthday. Excellent breakfast spread enriched with Cretan delicacies.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for three nights, just lovely. A small hotel next to the sea with few people (about 10 rooms) so there is silence, you only hear the sound of the waves. The hotel is managed by a charming family that provides service from the heart, at any hour for any request. Breakfast they prepare is sufficient, the bonus, eating on a square outside the hotel next to the sea at sunrise, perfect. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from a promenade with taverns and a 5-minute drive from the main street, a 10-minute drive from the port of Kismos from where you can sail to Balos. One hour drive from Alfonsi beach. In short, the hotel is suitable for couples looking for quiet on the beach with access to all the other attractions in the area. An opportunity to say a huge thank you to the family that runs the hotel.

It was set in a lovely spot in kissamos overlooking the beach. Everyone was so welcoming and kind who worked there, providing perfect living conditions throughout our stay. I would definitely return! The food was also 👌🏻👌🏻

I loved my little room. It was very cosy and clean, and the bed was comfortable. Poppy is an angel. I was sick and she took me to the hospital and really looked after me. I can't thank her enough! Never experienced such genuine care from a host. I am truly grateful that I found this place.

Platanos isn't for holidaymakers who prioritize shopping. It's not the right destination without a car. In May, it's practically deserted, and you can easily reach secluded beaches within 5km or drive into the beautiful mountains.

The sea view from the apartment is magnificent.

The sea view from the apartment is magnificent. The beautiful new apartment is very well equipped. Everything you need is there. For Greek standards, it's a superb accommodation! We were very satisfied. However, a shower instead of a bathtub in the bathroom would be better for people with disabilities. The stairs are difficult for people with disabilities.

Conveniently located for easy access to the most beautiful...

Conveniently located for easy access to the most beautiful beaches and towns on the west coast of Crete: - Falassarna (6 km); - Kissamos (10 km), from which you can take ferries to Balos Lagoon and Gramvousa; - Elafonisi (45 km); - Chania (47 km). Furthermore, the air is pleasantly cool on summer evenings, being a hilly area surrounded by trees.

It was really nice to live among the locals for a few days.

It was really nice to live among the locals for a few days. The people were very friendly and helpful, and the shops were close by, but it still didn't feel entirely comfortable walking the streets alone at night.

A small village at the entrance to Falasarna, nothing particularly beautiful to see, but very well located just before Falasarna. There is an excellent bakery, "Bakery Coffee Tsatsaronakis Michalis".
