The perfect place to stay. Very interesting places to visit.
The perfect place to stay. Very interesting places to visit. Near the old town you can find two bus lines. With one line (KTEL) you can visit the east side of the island and second one (different company) can visit the west side (Airport, Butterfly 🦋 etc). Cost can be from a few Euro or around 10 Euro. Further more you can take sea lines to visit other islands. In Restaurants inside the old city when you ask for a small bottle of water which can cost around two Euro, they bring you instead a mineral water and charge you 4.50 Euro. Noisy dirty and totally tourist trap. What used to be a charming and cultural rich town has sold its soul to mass tourism. There is rubbish everywhere, plenty of shops that ONLY sell touristic items. There’s nothing authentic left here. Even restaurants are horrible and serve mediocre food. Rhodes has a great mix of the old (medieval town), ancient (stadium), things to see, beaches (city ones are pebbly), shops and, being Greece, plenty of cafes and superb restaurants.
