The hotel is small, with a small number of rooms. At check-in they give a bottle of local wine and a plate of fruit. The staff are very polite and pleasant. Some days we lived with a sea facing room, a few with a garden view. The rooms have everything, clean. Very liked that for dinner every day was a different cuisine. And everything was delicious! My husband has gluten intolerance - and the chef told him which dishes were gluten-free, and sometimes even cooked specially. There was a very good breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thanks to the hotel we had an amazing holiday!

Hotel staff displayed an unmatched level of hospitality. They greeted me with warm smiles and were always ready to assist with any requests or inquiries. Their attention to detail and genuine concern for guest satisfaction truly made me feel welcome and valued. My room was well-appointed, and immaculately clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, providing me with a restful night's sleep after a long day of exploring the island. Location of hotel was ideal for exploring the island. Great place. Clean and well equipped rooms, we really appreciated the room with its own pool. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of choice. The lady manager was very nice and tried to help us with everything. Big greetings to Joanna from the restaurant, who we had a lot of fun with and made us feel warmly welcome. The nearby town is full of restaurants, bars and shops, the beach is a minute away, so great. We will definitely come back here again.

We had an unforgettable stay at Nalu Resort in Rethymno! The hotel itself is stunning, with a modern yet cozy atmosphere, and the staff are truly exceptional—always attentive, friendly, and ready to help with a smile. A special big thank you to Vicki in the breakfast room for starting our mornings with such warmth, and to the beach / pool, reception and housekeeping team for their great service. We chose the premium jacuzzi room, and it was absolutely the best decision—pure comfort and luxury! The location is perfect: just a short distance to the beautiful Rethymno town, which is truly a pearl, and also a great base for exploring many interesting spots around Crete. Everything about our stay exceeded expectations. We’re already looking forward to returning!

We didn't like Skaleta because there weren't any interesting...

We didn't like Skaleta because there weren't any interesting attractions or promenade for tourists. Beaches haven't got high quality, too. But it is very quiet if you want to rest and sleep in peace. You are able to find cheaper accommodations in Skaleta and travel by rented car wherever you want.

I have been to this destination for the third time, always completely satisfied, rooms, food, hotel facilities, garden, staff, outdoor pool, etc. The location of the destination is ideal for trips around the area within about 50 km in all directions, many places to visit, e.g. historical monuments, mountains, beaches, monasteries, caves, etc. I am planning a trip to this destination again next year.

If you're renting a car, this is a good place due to its convenient location. For those using public transport, it's a bit less convenient; buses are mediocre on time, and not all of them stop in this town.

Skaleta has a rural charm. Very quiet and unspoiled.

Skaleta has a rural charm. Very quiet and unspoiled. No tourist crowds. It stretches along the main road, making it a good starting point for exploring the island by car or public bus. The beach is pebbly.

Beautiful location by the sea, 1 hour from the airport.

Beautiful location by the sea, 1 hour from the airport. Outside of your accommodation, there's nothing particularly spectacular. A better word would be "authentic"—no tourist trap. Good for people who want to live like the locals.

A truly beautiful property with a lovely garden!

A truly beautiful property with a lovely garden! The pool is fantastic! In the garden, from which we were welcome to help ourselves, there were peaches, figs, and grapes... We'd love to come back next year! Thank you so much to Kostis and family for a wonderful 15 days!

Amazing grounds. Best sunset. Great food. Comfortable and big rooms. 15 min drive to town for more food options. you can park free at marina in the town and walk to old town. Beautiful seaside town with lots of food options if you prefer to eat out. loved the hotel. Stunning.

Our stay in hotel Babis was very good for summer vacation.Breakfast was tasty. Comfortable beds and good view from balcony. Hotel has a pool too. Bus stop is nearby so you can visit Rethymno without car, or another beaches in surrounding. Staff was friendly and helpful.
