Stayed in villa Olive from 21/06/2024 to 05/07/2024, it has a big terrace with views of the mountains and the lovely pool. Vamos in the western part of Crete feels more authentic than the eastern part were we stayed previously. There are many restaurant's within a short stroll from the villa serving authentic Cretan food. Also beaches are very easy assessable within a 15 to 20 minute drive. Finally a special thanks to Nikos for his cheerful greetings every day. Kieran & Peggy Sligo Ireland

The host, Manolis, contributed greatly to make our stay very nice. Quick to answer all questions, kind and generous (gave us cake, his own eggs etc). Vamos is a perfect centre spot for walking; we made four great walks in the surroundings following the new Apokoronas/Chania trail network. The house is new with nice decorations and with much care taken to environmental protection.

Stylish hotel with super attentive and friendly staff! Great breakfast with a good variety of foods and little surprises like additional pancakes for each hotel guest one day. Tasty 5 course dinner menu with changing offers each day. The room was beautiful, many details like the different indirect lights. Overall beautiful hotel, nice pool that wasn’t too crowded, very relaxing environment (not too small and not too big, perfect size of the hotel)! Main stars of the show were the hotel staff though, who were absolutely amazing making sure each guest had a great time, helping whenever you needed advice or had any requests (and they spoke several languages as well).

What a lovely find! We stayed for a week, the room was very clean & comfortable, lovely sea view. Plenty of storage. Fridge & kettle in the room, so nice to be able to sit on the balcony with a coffee after a day at the beach, and also have chilled beers to hand! The location was excellent, just a 5 minute stroll to the square or the beach. Great wifi, decent air con (needed). Excellent value for money would definitely recommend!

Lovely village with everything you may need to have a great holiday. Bakery,chemist ,local shops ,few tavernas and of course kafenion where locals meet.Very nice people ,authentic Greek village.Quite and relaxing.Parasia the best taverna in the area.Must be book in advance always full,very good food and very friendly staff.Lots of nice walk around the village.

The village of Vamos, just a bit isolated from the main...

The village of Vamos, just a bit isolated from the main route, provides perfect place for a relaxed getaway. Being quiet place, at the same time provides for all your needs - with it's local shop, great bakery, petrol station and at least 4 nice places to eat, with Τα Πλατάνια barbecue being our favourite, serving very simple and limited choice, yet delicious local food. Despite some ilolation, there's still just few kilometers to the main national road, making Vamos excellent starting point for local trips, like Samaria or Imbros gorges, lovely beaches nearby, Chania or Rethimno

Pleasant, peaceful little village. Friendly people. Good jogging opportunities. Good food and coffee places. The selection of shops is quite limited: if you stay for a longer period of time, you will also have to go elsewhere for shopping.

A very pretty village that surprises at first.

A very pretty village that surprises at first. It seems small and isolated, but in fact it has everything you need and is full of cultural and tourist attractions, while benefiting from being far from major roads and crowds.

Located in a quiet area, within walkable distance to Vamos, 15-minute drive to Almyrida beach and about 40 mins to Chania. We stayed in the top floor flat - it was spacious, clean and well equipped - mosquito nets and washing machine were great to have. Hosts were very responsive and helpful, swimming pool was great (and always quiet during our stay). We didn’t think photos did it justice… Sea view from the terrace was a bonus!

Hidden away within an amazing garden, this fabulous villa is a true gem. If you're looking for a tranquil holiday with all the amenities close by, this is the perfect spot. Vamos and its nearby villages are particularly picturesque and charming, with plenty of lovely little restaurants to discover. We'll definitely be back.
