The owners, Mr Alex and his wife are lovely people - very hospitable, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They produce high quality honey which we loved. Unfortunately we didn't have check in bags and couldn't buy but would highly recommend their products. A charming apartment of the highest quality in the best location - very central, 5 minutes away on foot from the beach, supermarkets, restaurants, shops and cafes. 7 minutes away from the bus stop which connects Varkiza with the metro stations Elliniko and Argyroupoli. Apartment was very clean and has all the facilities needed for a very comfort stay! We had a great time and would definetly return. Would highly recommend!

The place was very nice, just look like the pictures. The host is friendly and always rely our messages right away. Location is close by downtown area. We will definitely stay there again. There are few friendly cats in the back yard. Please buy some cat food from the supermarket and fed them, if you are cat lover.

    I know Varkiza very well.

    I know Varkiza very well. It gets very busy in Summer because of the big stretch of beach. Lots of places to eat along the boulevard and harbor. Good place for a day visit if you are in the city, better than the city beaches.

    The host was really helpful and patient.

    The host was really helpful and patient. We arrived 2 hours earlier than planned, but after contacting the host we were able to access the property. We also had some trouble with the front door of the property, but after contacting the host again she stayed on the line with us and walked us through how to get in. Once we had the technique for opening the door we didn't have any other issues. The property looked exactly like the pictures. We had a lovely view of the sunrise one morning from one of the windows. Also had excellent views if you like plane spotting. The local shop owners and staff were very friendly and spoke excellent english. We ate in Zaxos which was less than 5 min walk from the property and meal for 2 people with drinks was less than 30€ and the food was excellent. We also ate at a local Crepe restaurant which was lovely also for less than 30€. The beach was about a 10 minute walk from the property and found a lovely bar on the beach again with lovely friendly staff. Easy access to local buses. We caught 2 buses from the airport (X96 and 171) which took about an hour from the airport to the front door. We also went into Athens for the day again using public transport (171 bus and the Metro) again the journey took about an hour. We enjoyed our visit to Varkiza and would go back again, we even enjoyed the 30+ degree heat. We would recommend having a bottle of water with you at all times and sometimes even a fan because even though the local buses have air-conditioning they can get hot when busy.

    Cute little town, but not much to do.

    Cute little town, but not much to do. Ended up going to the same restaurants more than once as we ran out of options that seemed appealing and actually serving greek food (there were some italian places and some more general restaurants (serving burger, pizza etc.) It has an outdoor movie theatre that was great, showing two movies each night. Seemed to be run by a cute little family. Definitely worth going to.

    We stayed because we were attending an event in Vouliagmeni,...

    We stayed because we were attending an event in Vouliagmeni, so we didn’t get to see much of Varkiza, apart from the taverna we had dinner in, which was perfect - great value for money and good food. Vouliagmeni is the next resort along the coast but we walked there easily from the apartment, so it all worked well for us.

    A great location by the sea with a lot of eateries for...

    A great location by the sea with a lot of eateries for various tastes and budgets. Shops too and bakeries. Even an open-air cinema at the start of Afroditis Street (CineRia) that we made sure to visit in the evening. The residential areas are very quiet and the seafront lovely for a stroll. The only thing we didn't like is there is no free-entry beach in Varkiza that looks decent enough to swim or sunbathe in. We had to drive away for that (to Lagonissi and to Anavyssos aka Paleia Fokea). Lagonissi is much quieter than Anavyssos but the later offers the best beaches.

    Me and my family were super excited to stay at the apartment in Varkiza, the apartment was very clean and cozy, we remained with 4 family members, good air conditioning, Dimitra is super responsive host, provided excellent recommendations, nearby is a good fish restaurant, the most tastiest fish we tried, sea bream, and there are three big shops nearby, sea beach would take arround 5-7 minutes of walk. Excellent place to stay. Kitchen and living room as well were very good, highly recommending!

    The Staff is very nice and helpful.It's a relaxed place not far away from the busy city of Athens and 5min to the beach.The room was simple but clean and also with a nice balcony were you can also sit outside. We slept very good in the bed and it was quiet at night. I loved the smell of yasmin and the lovely little garden infront of the hotel where you can also sit outside and have breakfast. I would definitly book this hotel again!

    Brand new, spotlessly clean, and extremely cosy with a delightful owner. It is situated in Varkiza's heart, just a few feet from the sea yet still very calm. The apartment -two rooms-is conveniently situated and bright, with a great host (Mikaela) who is always prepared to help and smiles. Very quiet. Excellent bathroom facilities. A supply of beach towels is a bonus.
