When we arrived we felt like at home. All of their workers there are super nice, have a nice smile and they make everything happen that you feel super nice there. The standard of everything there is just higher than in any other hotel we have been so far in Guatemala. If it comes to the shower, bathroom, bed or any other facilities, it’s just great! Also the small details! And the best thing is really as already mentioned the staff there. This is one of the hotels where you will say in a few years, remember the „El Viajero“ in rio dulce, and you‘ll immediately remember which one it was.

Would highly recommend this place and would love to visit again in the future. If the place hadn’t been fully booked, I would definitely have extended my stay. This is the best place to relax and get down in gear. read a book in the hammock. Go for swims in the lake. Go for a kayak trip. Fill your belly with delicious food. The place is adorable. The food is so good, generous portions and fair prices. Communal dinner every night means you get a chance to meet most of the other guest. Thereby also a nice place to go as a solo traveler. The staff and owner are super sweet. There’s a little yoga hut with lake view that I had all for myself to exercise in the morning.

Casa rosada is amazing! I loved the chill vibe, the river just there you can sit on the dock or lay down on a hammock.. the food is amazing! The staff is so polite and easy going! I really enjoyed my time here and I would for sure come back! A special thanks for the owner of the hostel who is a very nice man! Loved the room, loved the view and the balcony even more, and the 25 meter pool was absolutely incredible because we struggle to get any cardio done in the heat. Added bonus is that it was a bird paradise so it was kind of like swimming and birding at the same time :)

The best reason for staying here is the manager, Giovanni. He is a bilingual jewel. Great with arranging trips up the Rio Dulce but even more describing the history of the area.
