The hosts are really kind and ready to accommodate all our needs, especially Ms Milena. The apartment is well equipped and has a charming door and windows, which give it a flair of old coastal houses. Such a warm hospitality is very hard to find! My wife and I felt like we were at home. Accomodation is very comfortable and clean. You will find everthing you need. Room is circa 15 minutes of slow walk away from the closest beach and close by there are few restaurants and big store.

    Funtana itself is a small place.

    Funtana itself is a small place. A few (very good) restaurants, a big supermarket, a marina. And a few very big camping sites. So it's not a place where you have a boulevard to walk in the evening with shops and a lot of people. These are in cities like Porec, 10 kilometers away. For us it was perfect, we took the car and came back in a calm and peaceful place. Without a car you might get bored.

    Funtana is a typical Croatian holiday village with huge campings and amusement park. Everything you need is in a close distance. Very nice fish food restaurant MORE, Spacious city beach with free parking and facilities (beach club). Very close to Vrsar or Porec bigger cities and the Lim fjord. The area has plenty of small islands accessible by SUP.

    Too,Too, Crowded.

    Too,Too, Crowded. People on top of people. parking was an issue, along with the amount of children in our area. It was literally a playground. The trailer we rented had sliding door issues. The door fell off of it's track every single time we tried to close the sliding door. The toilets took and extremely long time to fill, and the soap dispensers in the bathrooms were empty. All in all, I do not think I would stay here again. Valkanela "Packs Too Many People" into it's campground, making it hard just to move around. Every little space has someone pitching a tent, or trying to shoehorn a caravan into a small spot. I watched as families struggled to navigate the campground trying to park their vehicles, and had no assistance from the staff. As for your stay you are exhausted by the end of the day navigating cars, bikes, scooters, motorcycles, delivery vans, and people to say it was a relaxing vacation. Then there are the roads in the camp ground, far too narrow for cars, bikes, scooters, and children running in the street. Once again all said, this campsite will never see me again, and what makes it more of a shame is that I have family that owns a trailer on this property, so you would think that it makes it convenient for me to stay at this campsite, but it simply was not as advertised. Lastly, Valkanela really needs to open more counters in the Arrival/Departure area of the admin building. Two lines do not cut it. There are 25-30 people standing on line trying to check in and out, It takes an hour easy. Ridiculous. For the expensive stay that it was, Never again for me!

    We stayed through the new years eve, 90% of our time we...

    We stayed through the new years eve, 90% of our time we spent in the gazebo in the garden, which is very cozy. I would recomend that you take something to walk over the mud if you go in rainy or damp time. If I would go again i would take my pillow, because this one was too big and hard, but again just mine preferences. I would gladly recomend the stay, the hosts are very kind and nice, location is great etc.

    Funtana has a beautiful coastline but its difficult to go to...

    Funtana has a beautiful coastline but its difficult to go to Istrië if you do not have your own car. Indeed it is possible to go by plane and rent a car but these rentals are extremely expensive and charge high for ages above 60 or 70. You can not get the car of your choice and they cheat with a half empty fueltank.

    Wonderful place to stay in Funtana. Even if It was nominally for two people, our apartment was quite big and could accomodate even four. We loved the cozy little terrace. Air conditioning worked perfectly. The internal backyard was also very nice, with ample parking space, a shared barbecue and dining area, some sofas and couches to relax, and even a Jacuzzi! The host Valentino is great, one of the most available and nicest persons we found during our holidays.

    We stayed 11 nights in the biggest 2 bedroom apartment. It has got gorgeous backyard and is very comfy and clean. It is in the quite location in Funtana. We enjoyed visiting Dinopark Funtana with our kids very much (5 min. walking), as well as Aquacolors Aquapark - 5min. drive from the apartment. The best beach for us was in Vrsar Gradska with a lot of natural shade. We would not hesitate to come back. Petar the host was very kind and helpful.

    Everything was superb, according to our expectations. The apartment is very clean, has an electric boiler, the kitchen is fully equipped. The apartment has a balcony overlooking the inner courtyard, including a relaxing swing, where you can enjoy your morning coffee. From Funtana you can visit other surrounding towns on foot, such as Porec, Vrsar and from Vrsar you can take a cruise on the Adriatic Sea to the town of Rovinj.

    Beach was nice, room clean, activities for our kids were daily, food was great, facilities of hotel all great and the overall feeling you get is relaxing and peaceful. As summer time worg temperatures 30 and more, air conditioning is important to stay cool at the rrom. Do not worry they provide it. Please type sport activities also are available.
