Small, but very creative and cosy accommodation, the quality of the construction is exemplary. However, due to its size, it is only recommended for short holidays, but that's okay, the area is very beautiful and there is a lot to explore so one probably won’t spend much time at the accommodation. Very quiet, peaceful, easy to relax. The view from the terrace of the accommodation over Motovun is spectacular. The hosts were very nice and helpful. Ideal for couples.

The villa is fab! It comes with access to a pool Which made the hot days a breeze! We had a car and the carpark was also handy to have. Simple and clean they added bonus of air con made the villa comfortable and cool on hot days. I would stay again for sure!

Spectacular views, neat and tidy, clean and secure. The kitchenette had everything we needed plus the added bonus of a moka pot to make coffee on the stove. Even the view from the shower was amazing. Our host Jakov was incredibly helpful and friendly. We felt very welcomed and looked after. Location was perfect and super easy to find with the instructions provided.

Lorena is an outstanding host. Her breakfasts were both delicious and bountiful. Great coffee too! Wake up to watch clouds drifting below and views of the town and vineyards. The room is very comfortable with a spacious bathroom and everything is immaculately presented. No dragging luggage as you’re picked up from your parking space and delivered to the front door. And returned on departure. An added and unexpected bonus was the welcome tractor towing service for anyone leaving their car’s handbrake inadvertently disengaged. But that’s a whole different story …

We had a wonderful stay at Prospect Motovun Studio. The apartment was beautiful, cozy, and perfectly located just next to Motovun, with amazing views of the surroundings. Everything was very clean, well equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was extremely kind and welcoming, which made our experience even better. Highly recommended!

Great little town to walk around in. Great local wineries. Amazing local fruit stand as you make your way up the hill. He had the best selection of the most wonderful fruit and veggies. The ice cream was fantastic. Sampling of truffles and local alcohol without being pressured was amazing. Just fantastic hospitality overall shown by the locals.

Motovun is a wonderful place full of history and unique charm, though travelers should know that almost all of the restaurants and bars are closed during the month of February. In February it resembles a ghost town.

Beautiful ancient town with much to see and lots of great restaurants and shops. Not great for people with mobility issues of any kind. The walking is a bit of a workout. Very steep hills and cobblestone roads. Parking seems to be an issue.

Motovun is a charming and almost fairy-tale like village on...

Motovun is a charming and almost fairy-tale like village on a hill. We felt like we had completely gone back in time; yet, we had easy access to almost all of the rest of Istria from there, including seaside towns, wine tasting, truffle hunting, olive oil tasting and local shopping. The furthest town was Pula. Everything else was more like 30 minutes. We are spending two weeks in Croatia and we are so thankful we spent three days/nights in Motovun as our hub for visiting Istria. Heads up: it is a lot of uphill walking on cobblestones to get into the center of town - but SO worth it.

Great place for lovers of medieval hill-top towns and...

Great place for lovers of medieval hill-top towns and truffles. One can enjoy just a stroll through the town and views of surroundings for an hour, can have a great dining experience or stay for days and explore Istria, one of the prettiest and welcoming places on earth. "Medieval" and "hill-top" also mean that you walk a lot on rugged cobblestone, you walk uphill and climb stairs, and "great place" means it's crowded in the high season (summer). Still, one of the better places to escape to from crowded coastal towns, focused primarily on visitors' wallets.

A classic medieval town that was so fun to explore. Be sure to visit the cathedral (opened about 10 during our visit) and (carefully) climb the bell tower for a spectacular view of the valley and beyond. We visited in late October when some businesses had closed for the season and others were winding down. We would visit again in September.

This beautiful old house is in a good location in Motovun and has its own parking place down on the main road. It has an aesthetic that feels comfortable enough and relaxed. Many of the structural parts of the original old house are still visible and give the interior character. There is a little patio at the back, off the bedroom floor, which is nice for breakfast. The kitchen is well enough equipped. The bed is comfortable. The communication with the host was helpful and friendly, giving all the instructions necessary for easy self check-in.

Lovely apartment in a perfect location. The apartment is just like in photos, really well equipped. The stay was very pleasant and comfortable! The directions for parking were simple and easy to follow. The lovely host welcomed us in front of the apartment, and shared interesting information about Motovun. Overall great experience, we will definitely come back!

Breakfast was very good. Location was good but explanation for where to park should have been clearer… maybe a small map would have helped. Also did not realise the transfer from car park to hotel was chargeable. Reception staff were excellent and helpful
