To me, Pécs was a very positive surprise.
To me, Pécs was a very positive surprise. When deciding to stop there for a rest day on a 3 week motorcycle trip around Europe, I was hoping for some urban area where I would not get bored the first hour. With no research before arriving, we went for dinner the first night, and happened upon an outdoor restaurant in the castle ruins. On the surface it looked like a tourist trap, but food, service and pricing was great. The next day we went for a walk, again without much research and explored the center of the city, a very beautiful and historically important area as we learned. We had great food in some of the many restaurants, and we visited the UNESCO Heritage ruin as well as the basilica / cathedral. All in all, I am impressed.Guest review byKaiNorway - 10.0

Every place is clean, there are machines, all the items you need daily. The beds are very comfortable, the bathroom is very nice. Be sure to come to Pecs city. It has a little distance to the train station, but when you enter the hotel, you will not care about that distance at all. You will understand it worth your visit and stay. The room was large, modern, clean and very quiet considering its location. The breakfast had a great selection and lactose free items. We felt very safe even while walking out late at night.
