Nice city, definitely suitable for a holiday. The center near the port is beautiful, well-kept. Around the road to the port there are many options to satisfy your thirst and hunger. It's a nice little town with a marina, newly updated...
It's a nice little town with a marina, newly updated boardwalk with a nice splash pad for kids and a beautiful park. There's some great wellness hotels in the area, which is the main attraction for us. There's also a party beach for the younger crowd in season. Siofok is also a great spot to hop on a boat and visit Tihany across the pond, or just go for a leisure boat ride. We only stayed for 2 nights but Siofok is a lovely little town with some very sea-sidey vibes. The town itself had everything we needed and the lakeside had some nice areas and "a sea-front" feel. It has all basic features in a working way, plus an outside pool and bar for conveniance. The playground and playroom for children add to the family suitability. The staff is friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet with small food variations keeps you fed. The walk to the nearby public beach is short, some restaurants are nearby (if you look for an alternative to the hotel's own supper course). It is located in a new part of Siofok where a lot of new appartments are realized for tourism. There is a bus stop just 5 minutes walk from the building that take you into Siofok center in 10 minutes. The Balaton lake is 10 minutes walk. The appartment is spacious, clean and nicely decorated.
