Most museums were closed and so we had very few options to do. Most shops were also closed. We still enjoyed checking out the historical architecture... the old town was really sweet, lots to admire. Sopron is a pleasant relaxed city.
Sopron is a pleasant relaxed city. We appreciated the relative quietness of the place and that we could wander around without bumping into crowds. I use this hotel every time I am in Sopron on business,...
I use this hotel every time I am in Sopron on business, average two times a year unless it is fully booked up. It is under new management ( I have used it for 15 years ). The one criticism of the hotel is that checkout is at 10AM whereas most hotels of this standard checkout at 12, and that was the case before the new management took over. My granddaughter insisted we stay again as she loves the garlic soup in the bread roll. Rooms are a nice size and clean. However, it is the restaurant that is the main attraction. Breakfast, as in all the previous stays is excellent, and the evening meal as substantial and well cooked likewise. Bob sleigh near by is worth a visit and there are children's play equipment outside (which my granddaughter always used to use until she got too old for it).
